We had our team''s great win on Saturday and then Lakey''s brilliant final six coming good last night. We had a little drama but CD came to my rescue and so nearly got us another win too. I know I say this every year but I think we have our best team ever this season. You must just get better year in year out. A fantastic 54 of you picked this weekend and the results were much kinder because 41 of you had good picks (76%). There were 25 good suggestions among the 35 given (71%). We still have 14 PUPs who have perfect 100% records and AJ is still top of the PUPs for the second week. You have three young ladies chasing you though AJ.... nutty nigel 7,536 Posted August 18, 2015 You get given £1 once at the start. So first week is a loss taking you to 0. Second week you won at 1.4/1 so 0 + 1.4. Next week if you win at evs you go to 2.4. A loss will take you to .4. Hope that makes sense. It''s probably not strictly profitabity but it works ok. Any plus at the end of the season is good. But its just as important to get a win at any odds because we have to get all six to win. If we continually picked 6 at evs or better we d probably wait so long for a win people would lose interest. The table and stats are really just a tool to help the weeks picker get six. A form guide on us PUPs :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
93vintage 16 Posted August 18, 2015 I see, it''s a slightly different system, but I think I''m right in saying both would look the same after one round.I think there''s a few factors at play when selecting/suggesting bets. You''re right that the table is supposed to be a guide rather than a competition in itself, but I do think that there''s inevitably some competitiveness. But at least that might throw up a good variety of choices.Personally I think there''s room in the six for one that''s nearer evens, as long as it''s got some value.
