ZLF 342 Posted June 17, 2015 We opened the 04-05 season with this fixture and enormous optimism. Will be a tough start against Pardew.
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted June 17, 2015 Mixed feelings about this.A confidence-boosting away point from one of the big boys would have suited me, with defeat not a disaster.A confidence-sapping home point only against lowly Palace would be a bad start, whilst defeat would put us very much on the back foot from the outset.A bit of a banana skin, IMO.Clearly I''m having a glass half empty day, even when faced with an opening day fixture that possibly constitutes one of the easist games of the season.Glass half full view: The Gods continue to shine on Alex Neil. FenwayFrank 2,718 Posted June 17, 2015 Don''t forget they will be thinking that this is a tricky fixture for them too. By the the time they they come here their team will be full of namby pamby Frenchmen anyway.
ZLF 342 Posted June 17, 2015 didnt both teams get relegated together in the 94/95 and 04/05 seasons? Time to break that trend
