1.
Peter Reid was the clear early favourite to go to Bolton. Pulis even did and interview with sky discussing it.......................................moral of the story is lets not panic just yet. I think he''s more honourable than a few months in a new job before leaving
so did we!
2. link? i dont honestly think the club would want him as his style is the antithesis of all they do.
3. boothroyd wouldnt be wanted by burnley as his style is completely opposite to theirs.
4. just put a fiver on at ladbrokes. this could be as simple as a burnley fan seeing him on the M6 on the way back to see his family and not making any link with why he could be there other than to go to burnley.
5. of course he would go given the chance. its a chance to enhance his rep in the premiership and its a win win situation for him. if they go down its expected and he has the parachute payments to spend. its also a lot lot closer to his familt back in scotland. he could be at the top of the list because hes getting a reputation for jumping ship early on as well though.
6.

arthur, while you are guests of the stadium, in buying tickets through deception (ie knowingly buying in designated home areas) there is surely onus on the fans in the wrong place more than the club if they have done all in their power to stop away fans buying tickets in home areas as they are showing at the moment.
Closing the door after the horse has bolted i''m afraid
perhaps it is to an extent, but they are seen to be trying. this is probably the first time since the online ticketing has been in place that we have been in this situation, as leeds got extra tickets earlier in the season because we couldnt sell them at the time. its a learning curve, and they are going to learn from this game.
7. arthur, while you are guests of the stadium, in buying tickets through deception (ie knowingly buying in designated home areas) there is surely onus on the fans in the wrong place more than the club if they have done all in their power to stop away fans buying tickets in home areas as they are showing at the moment.
8. leeds were given extra tickets because they could sell them and we couldnt. for this game we have been able to sell them, it really is as simple as that. we could have sold more tickets (and enquired about getting more) on the opening day of the season, but rightly your club sold them to home fans. what would have been shooting themselves in the foot would be if the request was refused only for the away fans to be sat next to a load of empty seats.
9. how refreshing to see the word colchester rather than col who for a change. (Y)
10. we shall see mr whittle, we shall see. we have heard tales of your takeovers of portman road that never materialised. if it is like an away day, the crowd may thin out very quickly as norwich fans found in home ends will be moved (especially if overtly supporting norwich or causing unrest amongst the locals), and as there is nowhere to move them to, they will be moved outside the ground.
11. sir robbie cowling really has got to you little sausages hasnt he. quite funny considering it was him that was wronged.
12. i dont understand why you lot think we are disrespecting aidy? hes doing a great job, and i dont think anyone has said any different. that doesnt mean that we shouldnt feel aggreived at how lambert left us in the lurch only days into the season having brought in 8 or 9 players only weeks before. i dont think many of us are convinced he wasnt tapped up either, but im not getting into that now.
13. you are correct, we haven''t just gained 1000s of fans, but this game has drawn out all of our casual fans and fans that only come out for a handfull of bigger games a season. its become a game not to miss. im sure there will be some norwich fans in home ends, but im not convinced on the numbers you seem to suggest. i know people within the club and how hard they are working to weed out any norwich (see how easy it is to write the opposition name correctly rather than silly needless jokes!) fans. normally it wouldnt be such an issue, but with nowhere else to move people to they will be ejected and can only blame themselves as they knew what they were doing when they bought the tickets. its a bit like speeding. i speed, and if i get caught i will accept it knowing i was making the decision to do it.
14. honestly not trying to stir here, but his record of leaving jobs coupled with (unless it has changed in the last 6 monts) his family still living in or near glasgow would suggest it might be a goer. hes obviously fiercely ambitious, and im not sure he would turn down a job in the premiership with no blame attached if they went down, but a lot to gain in reputation if he did well.
15. i dont think there is anything inflamatory about refusing additional tickets, nor suggesting that away fans shouldnt go in the home ends. normally i wouldnt suggest there would be specific issues there and in fact fans have been moved into the away end on previous occasions. for this game though it wont happen or be able to happen as there will be no space in the away end, or anywhere else. i think the fact it will be a sell out vindicates the chairmans decision to not allow extra tickets to away fans (especially as there would also have to be an area of seating used as segregation.)
16.
What do they do exactly for the job to be difficult? Kitman leaves Norwich City Canaries kitman Manny Fowler has left the club and returned to Scotland. Fowler was brought in by former manager Glenn Roeder to replace Terry Postle, who left the club in May, 2008 after 12 years'' service. "He had already decided to leave before I arrived, but in my short time working with him I realised what an asset he was," said the Norwich manager. "The kit man''s job is tough work and I don''t think people always realise what an important job they do for football clubs. "Manny was a really brilliant lad and we all wish him every success in the future."
alarm bells ringing for me. anyone that kept up with lamberts goings on at colchester will know he thinks the fans are mugs. johnnie jackson put in a transfer request after being dumped in the youth team for no reason other than to get rid of him. lamberts reaction in the press? really suprised and disappointed he wants to leave!! he also got rid of the coach driver of 15 years because he didnt like him. he hadnt done anything wrong, but was got rif of none the less. if anyone puts up too much resistence to his ways of doing things they disappear. i reckon there is more than a sniff of it going on here too!
17. its not so much on the pitch that people will have problems with lambert! but until at least january you will play functional football. he will make some decent although suprising budget signings. like i say though it wont be on the pitch that people will have a problem with the man if he continues alonf the lines he has so far. its very reminiscent of colchester where 6 decent hard working pros were exiled into the youth team.
18. chicken and egg scenario though. is he unhappy because hes been left out in the cold for no reason and the manager has made it clear (although i doubt by telling him personally) he isnt going to play, or is he not playing because hes unhappy? with lambert at the helm i would plump for the former.
19. it wont be anything to do with systems. it will be to do with money, and not even the clubs lack of it. if lambert thinks he can get 6-8k a week off the wage bill, he can put a case in to be able to spend that either in transfer money or on wages. he will do the same with docherty too (and maybe others once hes had a look through the squad). he wont force them out persay as if the club list them it costs them money, whereas if lambert can annoy a player enough (usually by making them train with the youth team, not speaking to them, not giving them the opportunity to see their colleagues) then they will ask for a transfer, lambert will claim hes devestated as he wants them to stay (utter bull) and the player will be due nothing.
20.
Wes was told a week ago that he did not figure in the Manager''s plans. Perhaps the manager will change his mind (he never did at Colchester) but otherwise presumably someone is devising a way of getting shot of him.
almost certainly the case! i wonder if he actually told hoolahan and docherty himself this time rather than leave it to one of his minions? on his first day he will have requested a list of how much everyone is earning and decided from that alone who he wants rid of. good luck stopping him from ruining your club.
