  1. Now I know why rarely both to use this forum. Its one thing to be told you''re talking rubbish (which I disagree with anyway) but to be called in your words "a Binner" is somewhat insulting as I have been supporting City for forty years. I know you''re joking and agree with you that sensible comments are few and far between on here. May be they should set up another site for boring people like me with sensible views ?
  2. Although I am unlike many supporters by "going overboard" about PL there is no question that he is the best manager we have had for a while. In addition McNally is a refreshing and altogether marked improvement on his predecessor. However my main point is the breath of fresh air they continue to exude. Just one example is the two recent player purchases, both relatively well known, experienced and well established footballers purchased BEFORE the end MAY. When was the last time this club bought two players before the end of May ? We were always told it was nigh impossible to "get players in" before July with agents & players away on their holidays and other false excuses. This gives players time to adjust to their new club, a new area and more importantly a full pre-season to get fit and blend into the system the manager wants them to play in. I expect PL to bring as many players in to the club before pre-season or as early as possible. Thank goodness we finally have a decent manager and CE who know what they are doing and have more than their fair share of common sense.
  3. Although the corner infill was mentioned at the meeting that extra seats could possibly be put there I agree that McNally said "a few hundred seats could be put in here & there around the ground" However with finances tight and as we are years away from adding another tier to the City Stand (also mentioned at the meeting) I am sure judging from what McNally said they will put in as many seats as possible to maximise revenue. I am sure (safety permitting) that seats will be put into the corner infill.
  4. I was unfortunate to arrive home from work to see our favourite ex manager Roeder speaking to a reporter from the Cheltenham Race Meeting. My uncle who use to work at Colney always said Roeder & Clark talked about racing all the time & on the TV he actually seemed to have more knowledge of racing than football. On football, it was "West Ham are too good to go down & will be ok cause they won`t need 42 points which took them down when he was there" Arrogant as usual. What got in my throat, he claimed he could not look at the Championship table as it upset him to see his Newcastle there. Not one mention of NCFC, Obviously does not get upset looking at League One...the creep !
  5. Good grief Jim Smith, someone on here that talks sense. Give that man a medal.
  6. I have been one of Otsemobors biggest critics for a long time, he cannot read the game, has lapses in concentration and at times his positional play is very poor. His pace has saved him on a number of ocassions. However to blame him for the second goal is harsh to say the least. I was upset with his defending on the first goal, similar to his defending against Charlton on both goals where he lost his marker. Bearing in mind he has had experience playing in the centre of defence he should not keep getting caught out. But the second goal was just a goalkeeping error.
  7. I am never late for the start of a game. I never leave my seat at half time because the food/drink is completely overpriced, of poor quality plus I hate the pushing & shoving. I never cough, fart or wake anyone in the Main Stand which I have the misfortune to sit in. However I do leave in the last minute or in injury time..........as my retired father needs to rush home after every game for no apparent reason .
  8. Amazing, someone on this site who actually posts something that is INTERESTING and POSITIVE.
  9. Pattison clearly did not & never has fit into Gunns Plans. I am led to believe he was on £3,200 a week which is not a big wage. He was not in the team during the latter part of last season due to an alleged second incident after the unfortunate drinking episode. He gave his all on the pitch but thats about all you can say as he clearly lacked football ability. I would also dearly like to know how much we got for him, it could not of been more than a token fee!
  10. The figures are from paperwork seen at the club so they are 100% correct including the 48 in the touring party. I assume a discount was already taken into account as even this can''t be that stupid.
  11. I know this sort of subject is of little interest to some of you (if so don''t bother to respond) but when the club complains of a lack of cash it is untrue. We have more than enough money to compete in the transfer market whether in League One or the Championship but the club chooses to put more of their resources in budgets that should have a smaller budget. This is just one example of many where I know they have wasted money. I hope the new Chief Excec gets a hold of the clubs finances unlike Mr Doncaster who wasted & plundered our clubs resources.
  12. Although newspaper reports have stated that the team are staying at St Andrews University it is not strictly true. They are staying there and at two other hotels during their Scotland tour. One of the hotels is priced at £170 a night & even with players / staff sharing a room thats a lot of money for a club that cannot compete in the transfer arena. The other hotel is just over £100 & St Andrews a bit cheaper but add that to the air fares and that the travelling party totals 48 you have an idea where the money goes. You can all do the maths yourselves. I fully understand the players need to be one hundred percent prepared for the new season & pre season is a vital time at all clubs but does a club that CONSTANTLY claims to be hard up really need to spend this amount of money ? We have had a number of Scottish tours in recent years & they have certainly not produced the goods in terms of performances when the proper season begins. Anyway thats just one example of how Norwich City Football Club spends your money.
  13. Just thought I would make my first post as little controversial as possible. I have a friend who works at Colney but unfortunately is being made redundant next month due to the cost cutting measures at the club so the news that I get from him (which up to now I have kept to myself) will come to a halt. Anyway although I am by no means a fan of the Board or more precisely how poorly it is run, I am always surprised at the costs in running a football club. For instance Dejan Stefanovic has recently had a scan at the N&N at a cost of £900, the price of two season tickets. However those of you that are still angry at the way some of the players "just gave up" at the end of last season  can take solace in that they now have to pay for their meals at Colney. It will take a few meals to pay for Dejan''s scan ! Told you it would not be a controversial post !
