  1. Scored 34 times in 90 games. Pretty good for a midfielder!
  2. Well did he tell you anything else about this player apart from him having a medical?
  3. Norwich are after Rangers midfielder Thomas Buffel. according to press reports. This morning''s The People newspaper has a new name for Norwich fans to get excited about - Thomas Buffel. Article continues below Buffel, 27, joined Glasgow giants Rangers in 2005 in a £2.5million deal from Dutch side Feyenoord. The attacking midfielder had fallen out with coach Ruud Gullit after refusing to sign a new deal after three years at the club, during which time he scored 34 goals in 90 appearances. The Belgian international, who has six goals in his 24 appearances for his country, hit five goals in his first season in Scotland despite only featuring 18 times, and helped Rangers to a League and League Cup double. Buffel has been linked with moves to several clubs away from Ibrox, notably Hannover 96 in the German Bundesliga. Since suffering a serious knee injury in February last year he has fund his first team appearances under Walter Smith limited. Norwich boss Glenn Roeder is said to be keen on Buffel, who began his career with Excelsior, and he can be added to a lengthy list of proposed transfer targets, with nobody yet having been confirmed as the first new signing of the summer. One of those, Newcastle''s young striker Andy Carroll, is said this morning to be interesting Derby County, whose manager Paul Jewell has completed seven signings already this summer. Sunderland''s Ian Harte, available on a free transfer and twice linked with a switch to Carrow Road, is again said to be intersting East Anglian rivals Ipswich Town. The Tractor Boys'' flirtation with Newcastle''s Shola Ameobi, also admired by Roeder, is looking likely to be hijacked by Premier League new boys Hull City. The Tigers'' manager Phil Brown is said to be preparing a bid for the 26-year-old of around £2million. Toon chairman Mike Ahley is known to be keen to cash in on the striker, deemed surplus to requirements by Kevin Keegan.

Rangers midfielder attracts Norwich City interest 10:11 June, 15, 2008 Thomas Buffel is being linked with a move to Carrow Road The 27-year-old Belgium international looks likely to leave Rangers ahead of the end of his contract after an injury-hit season at Ibrox. Bruges have been trying to lure the player back to his homeland recently and agent Kees Ploegsma has said: "Rangers are willing to negotiate if a club comes in for Thomas."

  6. 2008 Finalist for Most Pointless Thread.... Yer bring it on!!!!!!!!!!! Whats my prize????
  7. Walk in go up to the counter and say to the member of staff who want to put your 5p on Romania to beat Holland. They will then look this up on their computer, tell you what their odds are. Then you just hand over your 5p and they print you out a receipt. Easy as that!
  8. Ween Nasty-- Have u spoke to Bullard about Hoolahan going to QPR or is he still saying he is coming to us?
  9. He will be allowed to move soon, but if you had a choice between us and favourites to get promoted QPR where would you go??? Just like with Kasper Gorkss they can pay him more in wages! Just face it, we have lost out yet again!!!!!!!
  10. QPR lining up bid for Hoolahan 13 June 2008 Norwich''s potential Blackpool recruit Wes Hoolahan is reportedly a £375,000 target for Championship rivals QPR. Big spending Rangers'' boss Iain Dowie has already launched an undisclosed bid for Seasiders'' team mate Kaspars Gorkss. Dowie is now ready to also trigger a similar release clause in Republic of Ireland international Hoolahan''s current Bloomfield Road contract. Charlton chief Alan Pardew is a confirmed admirer of the 26-year-old but any Championship bidding war could end up mired in red tape with Hoolahan''s move to Blackpool from previous club Livingston still the subject of a legal wrangle involving Fifa. In June 2007, Hoolahan signed a two-year contract with Blackpool but Livingston refused to sign the documentation sanctioning the move, stating that Blackpool had repeatedly breached the terms of an initial loan agreement between the clubs. Blackpool denied they had defaulted on payments relating to Hoolahan''s loan move and referred the matter to the Football Association. With Livingston being backed by the Scottish Football Association the matter was passed to Fifa for a decision to be made on the player''s future. In August last year Fifa ruled in Blackpool''s favour, thus confirming Hoolahan as a Blackpool player. Fifa are still to decide the fee to be paid, or if Livingston are entitled to any compensation and while this is still on-going Blackpool cannot sell Hoolahan. Maurice Smith, a member of the Livingston board at the time Hoolahan made his Blackpool switch, is adamant until Fifa make a final decision the Dublin-born player must stay at Bloomfield Road. He explained: “The final decision on whether any compensation should be paid by Blackpool to Livingston over and above the sum that they have already paid is still with Fifa. My understanding is that until Fifa come to a conclusion Blackpool can''t sell Hoolahan unless they settle something with Livingston, so it''s not as clear cut as a typical transfer.” The West Lothian side are understood to want a fee in the region of £250,000, while Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has stated he would not be willing to pay a penny more than the £75,000 the club already handed to Livingston. A Blackpool club official said: “It''s something we are not going to comment on. As far as we are concerned he is still a Blackpool player. It''s still on-going with Fifa and we have no further comment to make on it.” Email A Friend Copyright © 2008 Archant Regional. All rights reserved. Terms and conditions
  11. Quite simply the player does not want to play for the scum and would love to come here. If a deal can''t be agreed for him to come here, he wants a move to a premiership team. Come on city sort out a deal for the lad!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I doubt you will have much joy on here mate. Has to be a fellow doncaster rovers fan sitting in that part of wembley. Probably on the thieving gits bedroom wall!
  13. He went on loan to Preston last season scoring just 1 goal in 11 games. Not very impressive for a 1 million pound striker!
  14. Norwich to bid for Newcastle striker Carroll tribalfootball.com - June 12, 2008 Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder is ready to make a bid for Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll. The Daily Star says Norwich will launch a £1m bid for the England U19 international centre-forward.
  15. According to the Daily Star we are to bid 1 million pounds for Newcastle striker Carroll. http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=98012
  16. 2-3 million for our entire summer transfer budget, are you kidding. We need at least 4-5 million to assemble a team capable of doing anything in this league. I can''t understand why we let Hucks go if we only have 2-3 million to spend!
  17. Wages could be a problem. But what a quality signing he would be. Roeder must know him pretty well being at Newcastle.
  18. Our situation is a little different from the other teams. We only have half a team. Where are all these premiership quality players Roeder was on about?
  19. Ermmmmm! where have you been, planet mars! Everyone knows Roeder is a big fan of Ameobi. Roeder has mentioned him many times since he''s been here.
