1.
Slight contradiction there - We are really desperate if we sign him, yet you think he is "no doubt talented" - surely it is Roeder''s job to purchase TALENT? Our budget isn''t huge and he is certainly cheap talent.
It is a slight contradiction I would agree. However, the character of the players we bring in is also very important. A player who has recently behaved in the manner he has is not someone who I would want at the club. But as you say he is talented, just not a good example, especially to the younger players. We already have Patterson and Martin here who have not covered themselves in glory off the pitch recently, maybe it is a trend.
 2.

He is so down to earth that he took part in smashing up someones caravan when under the influence. He sounds like he is going to be a great example to our young players. But we are so desperate that it will be conveniently ignored.
Like drunk driver Patterson!.
If Hoolahan signs then we are really desperate. Don''t think many clubs would want him. THere doesn''t seem to have been much interest from other clubs; surprising since he is no doubt talented.
 3.
I was informed that Blackpool have given it the all clear to be announced over the weekend so yes very shortly. I believe there may well be another signing alongside Wes so maybe are killing two birds with one stone with regards to a press conference ? Wes is a down-to-earth sort of lad who keeps himself to himself most of the time and is currently looking to settle down with his fiance. He has believe in his own ability but is under no illusion that he is filling very bigs boots at Norwich. To him this a a great challenge and is looking forward to it emmensly. The taste of the Ireland squad at the end of the season has given him an extra incentive to achieve with Norwich and ultimately get them into the preiership if possible. The contract was sorted out pretty quickly in the way of personal terms and felt wanted by Roeder who made it clear he was his No.1 target for him to replace Huckerby. Wes has not been to a club where he has not impressed and won over the fans. He may, at times, frustrate you by his mazey runs and selfish play but is still learning and under a decent manager (who I think Roder is at this level) should flourish. He makes things happen and when he is on the ball fans feel this and sense something is going to happen when he is on the ball - much like Huckerby.
He is so down to earth that he took part in smashing up someones caravan when under the influence. 4.

See what I mean about the cryptic clues, which he would just talk plain and simple.
What the guy tells us is obviously up to him. It''s obvious the two he refers to are Bell and Hoolahan. Would be two good signings, without a doubt. The third guy - a former loanee. Well, if it''s not Taylor, it has to be Rigters. Bertrand is thought of very highly at Chelsea as is Gibbs at Arsenal. We won''t even mention Ched. Mo Camara may well be a possibility as well - but Roeder has been said to be uninterested in getting him permenantly due to his age. Pearce will probably be kept by Reading baring in mind his Championship experience.
Don''t forget Hoolahan is in Orlando, according to his future brother-in-law. We do need about 9 new signings so the activity must start sometime. Would think that 5 will be loans, as Roeder indicated a few weeks ago.
 5.

But if there really were so many clubs after him why has he not signed for someone else by now?
Were any other clubs really after him? I doubt it very much. Don''t think many would touch him with a barge pole. Certainly hope we don''t.
tribes, do you live in a caravan?
No. But anyone who does should be aware of him. It might not just be caravans. He doesn''t seem to like chip shops either. So if you own a chip shop and a caravan......

 7.
Is this the mother of all wind ups?
It''s either that or it is spot on. Presume this is the one who says he is his brother-in-law.
 8.
we''re prob the best place he can come to then, away from trouble, away from civilisation. well that is unless he shares a room with matty patty at away games!!!
They could help each other. Lots of caravans here though, that might be an attraction.
 9.

"The club is said to have not been "fighting" to keep him after some off the field problems came to the clubs attention."   Worrying. Is this what we need when struggling for points?
Have seen him play twice and he looked good both times. Not much pace but lots of skill. Does anyone know what these off the field problems are? Has anyone else come in for him?
i remember he got drunk once and was in a shop, summit lik a tanning salon and he threw some chips at the people wotking there.... bad behaviour at times.
Along with the caravan trashing incident he sounds like a real prat. No wonder there don''t seem to be many clubs coming in for him (if any). He is v. good player and at £250,000 you would think there would be more interest.
Yes, last month he and three other players went to a club in St Anne''s and imbibed a large quantity of Falling Down Lotion.  On the way back to wherever they were going they trashed a caravan in someone''s front driveway and someone peed over it.  They were all fined by the club who had to shell out £5k in compensation to the caravan owner.
OK. Thanks. I have just found the report on the Blackpool Citizen website.

 12.
http://www.theposh.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10427~1318581,00.html thats all a thread started on the england fans forum from posh''s website!!! Nothing offical????
I put the original post on this website yesterday to say that it was on City message board that Joe Lewis had been called up to England squad. I found out later in the night that this was true. It is now true that Kirkland is injured and will not be involved on Wednesday night in the match v. U.S.A. The 3 goalkeepers will be James, Hart and Lewis. What does concern me is that some ( not many) NCFC fans want to put the lad down. I believe he had been here since he was 9 years old. Was an avid Norwich fan and wanted to stay with the club. At the time he did not want to leave. We do not have many success storys with regard to young players at this club. When one shows the talent to shine after leaving our club, especially to be called up to the full England squad, it would be great if we could all applaud him.
 13.
On the night it''ll be James, Hart and Kirkland. England''s Number 7 still a couple of years, and a top-flight move, off a cap, but a great way to end a good season for Joe.
Would go along with that. He seems to be making good progress and has achieved a lot in this last year. Coming close to number 1 in U21''s, as Joe Hart seems to be in senior squad and is 1 year older. Goalkeeper of season in Div 2 was a fitting tribute from his fellow professionals. Today or the next few days will be useful experience.
 14.
Look, decent though he is, Joe Lewis will not be picked in front of premiership standard keepers such as Carson, Green and Foster. Quite funny how you actually believe this tribes, just from hearing it on a messageboard. Load of rubbish.
I do know now that it is true. He would not be picked in front of the goalkeepers you have mentioned. There must be some reason, like holidays, that those keepers are not at Arsenals training ground this morning. Joe Lewis is there.
 15.
At the moment its James Kirkland and Hart. Next in line would be Green, Carson, Foster surely.
I would have thought so too. They may be on holiday and not asked to come back as number 3. England are being shown training on Sky at 10.30 a.m. Something may be said or seen then. It is true. I would not lie about this.
 16.
that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard somebody suggest since somebody on here posted robbie keane, benjani and berbatov as transfer targets last season...
When it is made public tomorrow you will feel silly.
 17.
That''s one of the funniest things i''ve heard in ages!![:D]
Just seen on board that Kirkland has dropped out and Lewis has taken his place.
 18.
Don''t know where you''ve seen this its not on City site now.
Sorry it''s on City message board.
 19. Latest departure from Carrow Road.
 20.
I still laugh when people say about Hucks staying next season as an IMPACT player from the bench!   Towards the end of last season he was one of our best when he got fit and thats even when Roeder was playing him out of position on the right hand side!   Do you really think we are going to sign that many great players that had Hucks stayed he would of been relegated to the bench!!!   A fit Hucks would of been a first choice next season which is why Roeders decision to release him is so wide of the mark!
I think many fans are clutching at straws and just hoping in the face of reality that all Roeder is doing is for the best. Understandable, because we are desperate for some success. There is however a lot of burying heads in the sand syndrome in denial of Roeders treatment of people.
 21.
Top post camuldonum. Agreed that Adams should be one thing or the other - for years people on here have complained that he is too cagey in his comments, too close to the Club due to his employment there and yet they now complain when he is asked to leave. And as for everyone complaining about Roeder, I''m pleased to see he''s getting to grips with some of the complacency at the Club. For years we have been treated to players who seemed happy just to turn up and collect their wages and people (like Wizzy the Wiz) have come on this forum and criticised them for it after another ''no-show''. We have complained about the Academy not producing players of the right quality for the first team and people like Wizzy have complained about the state of the Academy after all the money that has been spent on it. Now Roeder takes some tough decisions and shakes-up the team and the youth system and...you''re all complaining about it?! Eh? Make your minds up - do you want this Club transformed into one which can compete or not?
So sacking Adams and 2 physios is going to transform the Academy? It,s not the fact that Adams has been sacked, it''s the reasons for it and the way in which it was done. It''s not just the fact that Hucks wasn''t given another contract it was the way it was done. Roeder just doesn''t take tough decisions, he does so in a vindictive manner. As for the club being transformed, we get this every time a new manager comes in. A new era begins at Norwich City almost annually. I just believe that this manager will turn out to be the worst of the lot. The way he treats people is pathetic. No top manager would behave like him. As for complacency noone could say that Worthy or Grant were complacent. The Board may have their faults but they are not complacent. You believe that Roeder is turning the club into one which can compete. I don''t. Only time will tell which one of us is right.
 22.
Don''t be fooled - Roeder is a tough b****r.  He was as a player as well and, in general, took few prisoners in his playing days. Inevitably that means he is going to make enemies but if he takes you soaring up the table does that really matter?  At the risk of courting unpopularity I have my own view about the Neil Adams situation.  I know nothing of the background to it (and there many be other matters of which neither side have yet spoken) but I do know, or believe I do, that you cannot have a situation where a paid employee of the club is commenting on club matters as to team selection. Neil Adams should either have stuck to being a coach or switched to being a media commentator.  I''ve been in journalism for over 50 years and I have yet to meet a single person who successfully wore "two hats" in the way that Mr Adams attempted to do.  Every single attempt I have known has resulted in the person having their nether regions snagged on the razor wire: the only debate is how long it''s going to take. If you are an employee you can''t be an independent commentator and, in my opinion, neither should you be commentating on team selection matters as an employee.  That is entirely the responsibility of the Manager, whoever he is. Can you imagine what Ferguson would do if a member of his staff - whether just the U14 coach or not - went on air to give everyone his views about The Master''s team selection?  And would they dare? Perhaps Mr Adams failed to notice that you might have to move away from "nice little Norwich" if you really want success?  As far as I know Roeder has never brooked interference from anyone and my hunch is that he is not going to start any time soon.
Doing both jobs was not what Roeder objected to. Adams has just said that he would have no problem with that and goes on to explain that he is unhappy with remarks ROeder made to the media. Ferguson would not behave in that way with regard to a member of his staff and then deny later that the remarks made were not to him, when it was blatantly obvious they were. Adams was asked if he would have Hucks in the SQUAD and he said that he would if he was fit. If Norwich go soaring up the table it won''t matter to the majority. IF.!! Roeder is certainly making enemies , not necesarily about what he does, but in the way he goes about what he does. Replacing "nice little Norwich" with "nasty little Norwich" is a recipe for disaster, which unfortunately in many fans minds is just around the corner.
 23.
"What I am unhappy with is the way that it has been handled". Adams, Huckerby, Jarvis, the backroom staff...... I do hope there''s not a pattern emerging.   An awful lot of people seem to be unhappy with the "way things are being handled" by our esteemed Manager.   Hopefully the lack of eagerness by Fozzy and Doc to put pen to paper doesn''t mean that even those he wants to stay aren''t happy.  Having shipped out a fair proportion of the club, if he can''t keep those he wants to keep, things are goign to start looking very grim.
Am losing all the enthusiasm for the club. I would love to be positive and to look on the bright side. I am afraid that our manager comes over as a dark cloud hanging over the club. He repeatedly behaves in a manner which re-enforces that feeling.
 24.

I''m glad that Adams has spoken out, Roeder''s attack on him was completely out of order.
Also nice to see Neil Adams comments come across as honest with no biterness unlike ''And yet these nasty, irritating people that try and cause confrontation between myself and a player, between myself and supporters, are just bad people''.  So Norwich City Football Club come out of this minus one coach who cares about the club - And Roeder ends up looking vindictive.  Big mistake Mr Roeder me thinks.
Roeder is vindictive. As 1st Wizard said in an earlier post; "we are on the road to hell in a handcart". Roeder keeps telling us; " I like to live on the edge". Lets hope he falls off the edge before we reach our destination.
 25.
Serious Beaker here, More culling at colney to happen and the Sport Scientist and Kitman are leaving
Not surprised about kitman. Don''t believe Mr R. is too keen on him either.
