  1. Oh dear someone's a little tetchy tonight, you should listen to what one of your 'legends' has to say. Even Huckerboy knows we are good. sweet dreams flower x
  2. Yes lets, and the thing is im easy about it either way now, just enjoying a great season and some entertaining football. The pressure is all on the ex prem boys and that might just work in our favour.
  3. Ah. now we have better fixtures than everyone else, thats a new one, keep em coming Jim :)
  4. Yep, 6 wins in a row now for the mentally weak team from down the road, all lucky of course. Keep blubbing away about it all being down to 'luck' though Jim, it gets funner each time!
  5. My word a touch of common sense and realism, you can't be a Norwich fan.
  6. Why would we be crapping ourselves about coming to your tinpot stadium to play your bang average team? To the contrary, I;'m thoroughly looking forward to it.
  7. Still just the three defests all season and another point gained from a losing position, not bad for a team that is supposedly mentally weak.
  8. Not worried in the slightest and I didn't think anything of the sort, It's December. clearly you are either on a ( very poor ) wind up attempt or are just a bit thick, but either way i'll leave you to it.
  9. Yep you're right, the season ends on 31/12 and we've bottled it big time, oh well there's always next year.
  10. Maybe we will, but I wouldn't put it past us to still make the top two or win the play-offs if we we end up there, write this team off at your peril...
  11. Lol, glad to see you are still more concerned with how we are doing than yoursleves, I guess thats only to be expected with how depressingly mediocre your whole club is nowadays. Alll your season rests on is the hope that we don't go up, how sad. You needen't worry about us though, we'll be fine. All teams go through a dip and this is ours. 7 changes last night and pretty much 5 of our 6 best players missing, Yes, all teams get injuries but that amount is going to affect anybody unless you are Man City. We will get reinforcements in Jan and we will regain form, we had a wobble this time last year and look what happened. This Team and Manager will get it going again sooner or later, they are too good not to, whether it will be good enough to finish above Southampton and Leeds I don't know but I predict we will not give it up without a fight.
  12. Well you didn't answer my question because I rather suspect you know the answer is, no - we shouldnt realistically expect to out perfom those teams over 46 games. That brings us nicely onto the Lambert promotion team, I keep hearing this comparison but i'm not sure it is a fair one. Don't get me wrong, the back to back promotion was a fine acheivement but were you really up against the level of teams that are in the top six this year? Looking at the final league table from 2011 the top 6 includes QPR, Reading, Cardiff & Swansea so i'm inclined to say the answer is no.
  13. Clearly they don't, hence only losing four league games in the calendar year to date, but the point is that finishing in the play -offs is not failing as a newly promoted club. Yes, we had a great start but a season is over 46 games and a 10 point gap in December is no guarantee of anything, this is just the reality of football. We can't really win with you lot, if we are confident and talk our team up we get told we are arrogant and think that we've won the league in December, but if we talk in more realistic terms you then say we have an attitude of accepting failure. We are also told we have a team of league one journeyman, so you tell me, is it realistic to expect these players to out perform the likes of Leeds and Southampton over 46 games?
  14. "Try focusing on the present. Thats rich considering this is the first season in many many years ipswich have finally made it out of league one & into the championship" Yes it is, who said otherwise? You guys seem to be struggling with what the present actually means, I fully acknowledge that we were rubbish for a long time up until 2 years ago and that Norwich have been far superior. But right now this season we are the better team and are improving and on an upward trajectory. City, on the other hand and standing still at best. "If Ipswich go up, good luck to them, but we've still got half a season to go, and in this league there are no guarantees whatsoever" I agree and I have said on here before that I expect us to fall into the play off positions before the end of the season and will be more than happy with that. Injuries and suspensions are starting to bite now and losing Hirst long term is a big blow as he is pivotal to the way we play. A lot will depend on how well we replace him in Jan as the back up is not good enough currently. According to some on here this is viewed as our fanbase ( and entire club ) being weak minded losers or playing down our supposedly huge collapse from a great position in the top two. For me it is just being realistic, we have no right to be in the top two and Leeds, Leicester & Southampton have far superior squads that cost 4/5 times as much to assemble, of course i would love it if we continued to defy the odds but there will be absolutely no shame at all in finishing fourth in this division.
  15. Yeah and we won the FA cup, who cares? Try focusing on the present for a bit, oh no you can't can you because that would mean the realisation that we are heading in very opposite directions. Ciao for now x
  16. I didn't celebrate. I was relieved we got the point we deserved but that's about it. On to the next one.
  17. We will beat you at Carrow road, that I guarantee. You got lucky once, it wont happen again.
  18. Probably, but we will be a long way ahead of you lot and safely in the play-offs at least. The outlook for you guys however looks rather bleak, especially after you lose Rowe in January to pay off a few more debts. Oh well, it least you'll have that glorious draw at our place to look back on.
  19. No mate, Sainz is just mentally weak like the rest of your team, unlike ITFC with our 92 minute equaliser last night. That's just the four league defeats now in 2023, not too bad for such a mentally fragile team eh?
  20. He didn't get a yellow card against you and isn't banned, but hey great post otherwise.
  21. I'm sure this post seem like a genius one in your head. In essence you have used a lot of words to say that our fan base can be fickle and contains some numpties, just like yours and every other club, while also doing the very thing you accuse us of and harpring on about the past. Good work.
  22. No mate, it was a game of football and they don't always go to form ( Man City v Palace for eg ). You really are looking far too deeply into this. I predicted 2-2, not because I am haunted by NCFC and spend every waking hour agonising over not beating you, but because I recognise you still have some decent players and that in a one-off Derby game you could get a result. It may be a thing for some of our fan base but trust me to the management and players you are just another team. I predict we will beat you in the return and I will be more happy with the three points than lifting some imaginary hold you think you have over us. Anyway I will leave it there as frankly it is clear you are so deeply entrenched in your belief that nothing I say ( or indisputable facts ) are going to change your mind.
  23. I am one supporter, not representative of the entire fan base, the same as you. You bang on about mental strength and yet I read this forum on Friday and 50% of the posters were already crying about the hammering they were all convinced was coming. Now the same people are all cocky about scraping a 2-2 draw against a team that have just been promoted. You lot are as fickle as every other fan base so stop deluding yourself otherwise.
