1. bit generous there I think 3-0 I think 2-1 city. 0 - 0 half time.  Kick up the arse again, followed by a 2-0 lead and then a hold on after 2-1 in 85min. If I''m right, it will be the first time!!  And I''ll be down the bookies for the Stoke game!   Cheers
2. Hi all Its Monday and I''ve had time to reflect on the great result on Saturday. Being a season ticket holder I''ve seen some crap this season (and last). So to have a win, and a good win brought a small smile to my face for once at 5.00pm sat afternoon. For me the new signings were all great. (haven''t seen evans yet). They, and Glens management team have inspired in the last two weeks how Norwich should and use to play. Short balls, on touch, passing football. breaking down the opposition, first to balls, passion. Can you believe we actually won a game without Hucks!!!!! remember when, if Hucks name was not on the team sheet at 2.30pm everyone went ''well thats it then. draw at best!'' Sad I know and Hucks is still a Norwich Legend, and he should still be in the squad. For me he''s rapidly becoming the David Beckam of Norwich. He is too good to leave out, but maybe his inspiration and ability to win a game at any time warrants him to be at least on the bench. However if we are to play without him in the future he must be replaced with new talent. Now the truth sets in.  We have only won 1 game, tuesdays match against Blackpool is also a must win game. These loan players are only great sigings if we can persuade them to stay and continue to play well. For me its time for the board to gamble and show the cash. We must back Glen, we Must Spend the money we don''t have, we must get out of this hole. 2 wins would now get us out of the pit and give greater belief to the squad. If we don''t spend, or try to keep these new players, or even 1 of them (for me its M Pattison from Newcastle) then we will be reverting to the past. Then I''m afraid the drop WILL come. And league 1 for Norwich is certain death for the club. I don''t want that, the board member can''t want it, as they would lose the lot! Up the city   Your comments are welcome Cheers All.....
3.
Never should have sold him.  Grit, determination and effort.  Lacked quality for but never shirked a tackle and chased everything.  I think you need 1 or 2 like that in every team.
Spot On, I always like Andy HUUUUUUUGHES! If half of our team played with his passion for the club and game we wouldn''t be in this mess! Another good player that Grant Sold! Good luck to the man, captain as well! Ok so his kill wasn''t great but his heart was in the right place and that counts for a lot in this league and in League 1 by the looks of it! I bet some of you wish he was here now? Cheers
4. Hi all   Went to game last night, Thought we played ok, better than some of the games we have played recently and thought that the lads scrapped for the ball and tackled well. (except hartson) What was very apparent was that Watford seemed to be at the same stage that we were in when we won the league. Very organised, skillful players, full of confidence, at times with all their players in our half for corners, not one person was near the halfway line. With their slick passing and runs they reminded me of our championship year. I hadn''t seen a side like watford at Carrow road since the Prem. To me they are a prem side. Sitting in the second half as we strugled to get up the pitch , I felt like pulling the ball towards their net in the barclay. We just couldn''t move forward. At times cadwick or russell would run but run out of ideas just short of the penalty area, or browns holding up play with the ball only for cureton/chris martin to be no-where. I sat back for a minute and just thought to myself that we were being totally outclassed in every area. Sad I know, but we need some new blood. (again) HOWEVER ... we did not play badly, another performance like that against Blackpool or Preston, etc ... and we would have won. It just goes to show, how far down we had gone in 2+ years. Anyway chin up ..... no point moaning about it or we will be relegated. Roeder is all about rebuilding and aimming high. Lets all do what we done last night and get behind the boys, ''city til I die'' a song that was chanted with passion! Lets hope we can get some signings in and get that win we need soon. Cheers All, up the city
5. come on smudger. We all have been pissed off with the teams performance and the Grant manager tatics. But even you ( an ipshits fan - joke!) can see that with the new defender on loan and to get Lee Clark from Newcastle is a great move by Roeder. The Board are not going to leave. Ok so we need an investment like Ipshits takeover, but who doesn''t, look at Coventry, they need a buyer by Christmas! or else! All I''m trying to say is ... lets give the board and roeder a chance to get us out of this hole that we have dug for ourselves. They have admitted they have made mistakes and I except this. All I and the majority of NCFC fans want is better times again at Carrow Road. Come on Smudger, give the man your backing, forget the past and give the board a chance. If by Christmas we are mid table will you still complain? All I can say is that moaning and complaining ALL the time will only drag us down. Chin up smudger. lets see you smile as much as that picture of yours. Cheers All
6. Agreed. I was pleased with the Roeder appointment but not over the moon. As you state results will tell, but with the quick signing of Lee Clark and the on loan of a Centre back, something Grant couldn''t get this shows me that Glens contacts in the Prem are very handy to have. with 30+ games to go I''m sure we can get out of this hole.   up the city
7. don''t be stupid!!!! New Manager, New coaching staff, New Deputy Manager! New Norwich Start and all you can do is moan about the board. You will look a prat standing outside the ground on your own or with about 10 people shouting for delia out! get over it, get on with supporting our club out of this hole and up the table.   Final
8. good interview. At least we are going in the right direction! up the city.
9. smuder, ist wiz, cluck, i''ve lost my marbles, etc ....     well whats your opinon?   Glen any good? Not the man? Who else should have got it? If you didn''t want him, then who. Also will you give him a chance or slate him after 2, 5, 10 games? Sorry just wondered on you views. Cheers All, roll on Sunday.
10. Hi all.   Ok I wanted the impossible of Bruce or Jewell.   I certainly didn''t want Allen, Parky, Stuanton, Souness, Pulis, Royle, Hollaway, Tilson etc ... to me they were too inexperinced, and to be honest Glen Roeder never entered my mind until 3-4 days ago. However .............. when I heard it was Glen Roeder at least I didn''t say ''who'' like when grant was apppointed!!! Glen Roeder could be a great City manager. He got West Ham to Seventh in the prem before his illness. Then after fighting a brain Tumour he got back into football where at Newcastle he done a reasonable job when you think that Newcastle are always unhappy unless they are in the top 6 of the prem. As Norwich, could we have got a better manager? If Bruce is happy now and Jewell in the media spotlight in Dubai TV deals then IMO no we could not have got better. IN THE END OF THE DAY .... We must get behind this manager! We must stop the bad apple in the Canaries team (hucks or not) from turning on the manager if he doesn''t get his way. As far as I''m concerned, if Hucks is the bad apple and still won''t toe the line and play for Norwich then he should be shown the door. Norwich City Football club is not just Hucks! We Must MUST MUST! give Glen some time to bed in and select his team, Money or no money in the kitty he will pick HIS side and with his contacts in the Prem who knows what loans we might get. Glen must also pick a new captain, who I don''t know but somebody to lead the team from midfield, shackel is too inexperinced. NOT dury as that would mean going backwards, dury was never vocal enough for me. Anyway ....   He has my full support for the home games as I''m a season ticket supporter. What do you all think to a 2-1 win on Sunday at home to the SC*M and then a 1-0 win at Home on Tuesday to the leaders Watford. Would be just the tonic.   Come lets be positive!  Duffys gone, Grants Gone, a new era has come. Lets build on it. Cheers All
11. hi, again   http://www.sportinglife.com/football/premiership/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/07/10/25/SOCCER_Birmingham_Nightlead.html still dreaming of getting Bruce.   Come Saturday 6pm Bruce may know if Brum want him. Should Norwich wait and then try for Bruce if the new owner states that hes finished with Bruce? Its only one more game! Dilema: - Appoint a new manager on Friday for Staurdays Game, only to find out that on Sunday you could or may have got Bruce? For me hes worth the wait!!! Only one manager can get the job aheadof Bruce and thats Jewell. The rest must wait and see! Cheers
12. if we don''t show some Balls and appoint Bruce or Jewell!   I know a pipe dream!!!!   No its not! Just get him, pay bruce the 35k a week and keep this club in the champ, for the storm next year!   If we appoint a nobody and play crap, I''m not paying £39.50 a month next year to watch the crap again. (season ticket direct debit)     Cheers All
13.
Yes he would be in my second choice behind Jewell.  He is been treated very badly and it seems certain that he won''t be the long term brum manager so he might be tempted to move to a club where he will get given a proper contract and more support.  The question is does he fancy a relagation dog fight and how big a pull would Norwich be for him.  That said if I was on the board I would want to talk to him and if he wants the job then we should pay the money.
Glad to see I''m not the only one who thinks the Norwich City Board ,better be doing all they can to atract Bruce or Jewell. Unless we get somebody of this calibur a LOT of FANS, Season ticket holders, Away supporters WILL BE VERY PISSED OFF with the time its taken to appoint such a nobody!!! yes I know its hard to get BRUCE or JEWELL but nothing is impossible!!!! Try, Try and TRY again. Bolton did with Megson, God knows why?   Cheers all
14. Ok so we all know that Bruce is not happy at Brum. see article: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2007/10/23/bruce-hit-by-yeung-deal-snub-89520-19993543/   Bolton have tryed to get him. Why don''t we ask to speak to him? Why don''t we ring his agent? he'' being offered £30k a week at Brum. Norwich can afford that easy! (Its only two players wages.) Really though, in football terms 30k is not much. We could match or beat it. He wouldn''t have to worry about the board at Norwich. The fans will love him. he is a Norwich Legend, Man utd captain and Succesful manager!   Come on, stop looking at no-bodies and get the man for the job. NOT, Parky, Staunton, Allen, Pulis, Crook, etc .. etc .... Cheers All.
15. yes we have the same points as QPR. We\ are now joint bottom only second bottom by goal diff. Yet QPR have a game in hand!!! 12 games gone Win 2 - Draw - 2 Lost - 8!!!! Yes 8!!!!!!! come on get  Jewell or Bruce for the next game or we will lose 7 - 0 to WBA!!!! If I hear that we have got some numbty for a manager I''ll go mad!!!! Cheers All.
16. I hope and pray that you are right.   I don''t want another pardew assistant in Parkinson or .... "However, it is understood that Stoke City boss Tony Pulis, former Leicester City manager Martin Allen and Norway boss Aage Hareide are also in the running for the Norwich job." .... Anybody else the pinkun puts forward as ''in the running''.   All Crap! Bruce or Jewell, Final.   Anybody else and the Fans will go nuts!!! Cheers All
17.

Best post of the week koimatsuba, thank god for some optimisim.........i''m getting fed up with this forums negativity..... I knew we are in a bad place at the moment but this board used to be full of debate and interesting posts, not all this BOARD OUT!!! DUFFY OUT!!! IT''S HOPELESS crap. The board will appoint the right man, i''m sure of it!
Yes we are in a bad place, 2nd bottom with the bottom side having a game in hand. We need the board out. We need Duffy out. It IS hopeless. And you''re deluded.
I''m not deluded! Simply sating Facts, you may be pissed off like me, and believe you if they appoint the wrong manager (IMO) then I''ll be gutted. I''m simply stating that things can get better, (can''t get much worse). Hartson played ok to me, not like some peoples comments that he was crap! Didn''t like the game, but hey we were better and shown for 30 mins that the PLAYERS CAN DO IT.   Cheers
18. Confidence in the first 30mins against Bristol was good, we played like the old Norwich and on another day the Hartson efforts would have gone in. In all Hartson had 7 goal chances throughout the game. For a man who hasn''t played since Feb 07 I thought he played very well. Ok so he didn''t score, but like Dion he was in the right place at the right time around the goal. You don''t just get there by accident, this is experince. Yes he''s got some weight and hes not fast, but we need someone to inspire the team. At times he was instructing Strihavka on being more forcefull and where to run etc. Oh main problem is lack of confidence, what a difference a goal in the first half would have been. Bristol looked very average in the first 30mins. yet once their goal went in we returned to the laclustre, sitting back, no confidence Norwich of this season. We MUST, MUST employ the right man. Don''t tell me that we are too small a club for Bruce or Jewell. IF, and its a big if we get a paul Jewell or likewise manager, we have the base of being a middle table Prem side. We average 24,000+ fans and could be more with a second teer on the city stand. Our catchment area of  East Anglian is massive compare to other clubs. (only club for miles) We would, and could be a Great Club. BUT and its a BIG BUT .... we need money, an EXPERINCED MANAGER and a prayer. Today was another sad day for me at Carrow road.   But hay, by Christamas it could be all different!! Cheers All
19. Have Norwich done this as well? If not then why not? Or have they spoken to Bruce illegally without premission to see where he stands with the Norwich job and then not bothered asking Brum?   If they haven''t just bothered then that will piss me off!!!   I really wanted Bruce here. I think the fans would go mad for Bruce, explayer and all. He could have been here longer than Worthy. I obvious that Bruce wants a long term contract with a club, he wants to be like an Alex Fergusson of Birmingham. But Brum might not give it to him. I know that if results were the same as Brums in the last 3 years our board would still have him! Never mind, looks like we are getting a no descript manager in the end.     Cheers All
20. spot on! Pre-Madonnas, and can''t be bothered. Also shows what happens with the wrong manager! Norwich beware.
21. Every day when I log on to the internet and look at the Pink''un/EDP website theres a new managers name batted about. Jewell, Bruce, Tony Pulis, Kevin Keegan, Martin Allen, Peter Reid, Joe Royle, Glen Hoddle, Crook & Lerbrinski (who?) they all are not interested or are in the running! Its getting boring now. Just get on with it.   IMO: It could be Bruce or Jewell. Jewell because the odds are still low at the bookies and I think they are waiting for him to come back from Holiday before showing him off. OR ... Bruce has already agreed and will leave Brum Shortly after resigning from Brum after the meeting with the new owner. Making it look like Norwich never poached him. I don''t think its Duffy, despite what Gunn said.  Still the old Guard and nothing new, or experinced enough for me. I hope I''m right and its just a matter of time until somebody is shown to the public. All these names in the papers and website is just show, to keep us guessing. Cheers All
22. Relax Boys! I''m just stating that we all know that if you want something in life you have to get it, be it anyway you best can. The fact that its Wednesday Tommorrow and we still haven''t stated who or when the next manager is, only makes me think that we may be actually trying to get the ''right'' man in. I wasn''t asking to be given a name update every day! Its just that last time this all happened with Worthy we heard the same crap as this. High profile managers applying, long list of names, big names etc ..... (spin spin) And we ended up with ''GRANT'' . At the time I thought ...''who''? ok lets go with it. But I also thought ... what happened to the other names lke Curbs, Hoodle, Bowen, Robson etc.. Did we actually interview them or just not bother. That was my point, are we going to try to contact Jewell or Bruce or are Norwich accepting that theses names are out of touch and not even bothering. This is my worry, I can''t accept a second best manager again. We need more.   Cheers All
23.
give it a week....
I fear It will be too later in a week. Act now! Get Bruce here! Its only Birmingham, for god sake, not liverpool!!! Brucey, Brucey, Brucey!!!!! cheers all
24. I''d take Keegan any day above PULIS, ALLEN! unfortunatly I can''t see it happening.   Cheers
25. ...... Well have they even bothered asking about Jewell or even Bruce from Brum. Or have we just been the family club, little old Norwich, who has to settle for second best again! Surley its not that hard to do, ask the agent to speak to the manager direct or ask the club for permission. Put forward a package and 3-4 year deal. Pay them the Prem wage they desire. Ask them what they want from the deal!!! Not what we can offer! Ask the turners if they want a bigger stake in Norwich city if they put forward more money for tranfer kitty for new manager.   Get the manager the fans will love and the players respect! Up the table we go! WHY IS IT SO HARD? Why do we always see names like PULIS, ALLEN, CROOK,  even INCE mentioned. Not good enough! Sorry but its not!   Cheers All
