The A-Z of The Pink 'Un Messageboard
LQ replied to Shack Attack's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
LQ - I won''t insult your intelligence by claiming that i had five different entries for ''Q'' but chose you.
Awww shucks. You know how to talk to a girl [;)]btw, even funnier on the second read! This should be ''Message Board Law'' on all forums everywhere... -
What if Southampton cannot complete their fixtures
LQ replied to Yorkshire Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No it''s not, Wiz.That is exactly how it works (although on a very basic level which was probably the point of blahblahblah''s post!) -
For info: the Football League "voting rules"
LQ replied to Camuldonum's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Thanks for that Cam - that''s how I assumed it would work. After all, if all the Championship members of the Board were excluded from voting that wouldn''t leave many to actually say ''yay'' or ''nay'' would it?Bit lost on how you''re a fake (?) but thanks for getting some information from the horse''s mouth. -
Southampton in administration ? ? ? ?
LQ replied to Gentleman Jim's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City

I thought they said yesterday that no-one from the Championship would be entitld to vote for that reason. Though the people they listed who would vote were mainly from League One, who to my mind presumably have a vested interest in the penalty being imposed next season, since Southampton might be in their division then.
You''re right, I''ve just found this. With the Championship members of the Football League Board being obliged to refrain from voting on one of their own, the decision on Southampton''s fate will therefore rest with four people - Lorraine Rogers of Tranmere Rovers, Tony Kleanthous of Barnet, Peter Powell of Colchester and the Board''s independent director, Ian Ritchie.
Could these possibly be the same or similair group that so capably sorted out the Tevez/Man.Utd issue last season ?
No. That was the Premier League board, this is the Football League. -

THE CHIRP - IN GUNN WE SHOULD TRUST - HERE'S WHY
LQ replied to The Chirp's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Fully agree Chirp - although I''ll hope for more than just one more season! Stability and a long-term building plan is what we need around here.p.s. Glad you pulled through. -
Southampton in administration ? ? ? ?
LQ replied to Gentleman Jim's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Our CE is on the board of the Football League (and the FA) so if there are any strange manipulations of the rules taking place that mean SFC don''t end up taking a points deduction he''ll be one of the people looking into it, CA. -
NEIL DONCASTER - Clubs have no say when TV comes calling
LQ replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
"And with all of our rivals having played their penultimate league game before we play Reading, we will be far better informed about what we need to do that evening."Dear Neil,What we need to do that evening is quite simple. The answer is always the same. Three points - don''t care how! Thanks,LQ[;)] -

Southampton in administration ? ? ? ?

It may be misplaced confidence on my part but I don''t think the FL will let them get away with squirming through this ''holding company'' loophole.Jim Smith is spot on, it''s nothing like Delia going bust. This compan only exists to own the football club and its periphery companies so in effect it is the football club. The FL learned their lesson with ITFC and that''s why they could impose new tariffs against Leeds and Luton for the way their administrations were handled.I can see them having the points off this season (if they''re not relegated as a matter of course) and having a further deduction imposed next. -

LQ replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Lovin'' "The Man" as ever - amazing isn''t it how it''s possible to enjoy something even though it may not always be the notes that are on your own hymnsheet so long as you have some common ground! On the £16million for shares thing (and it''s been done more times than my cousin ''Banged Up'' Terry) the majority shareholders are obliged to look after the interests of the minority shareholders. Consequently any public valuation has to be at the last quoted share price, otherwise they''d be being very naughty and would get their wrists slapped by bankers and lawyers alike. -

First off, I''m guessing that "being a woman" shouldn''t have had a question mark at the end of it? [:)]I played when I was at school (till about age 11 when you couldn''t have mixed teams anymore) and that was fun, but ''real'', proper, grown-up football? I''m afraid I''m a bit of a traditionalist. It''s a man''s game and I like to watch men play it. I''ll tune in to the FA Cup finals and such, but on the whole I find it anodyne and bland - technically great but lacking in oomph.Sorry! -
