1. Normann, when did Lennox last grace Carrow Road - or are you having us on? OTBC
2. ............is City''s reluctance to give the youngsters a chance. Almost every Premiership game (5/6 per week) I watch it seems that teams are playing 1 or 2 ''unknown'' 19/20 year olds e.g Palace (Routledge & Watson), Arsenal, Man City, Villa etc. If they are good enough they are old enough! It seems that the supporters will have to come down on Worthy''s head  like we did with Leon, for him to see if Shackell and Jarvis can cut it or not. Anybody out there agree, or am I a lone voice..........                                                                                         OTBC - now''s your chance.
3. Potential has a shelf life. It''s a hard world out there, and I fear Bentley won''t make it - and we are the guinea pigs. Send him back in exchange for Pennant I say - at least he works hard to complement his potential. OTBC.
4. I did say I just woke up! Don''t shoot the messenger!! But...........if we can''t afford........ (a) 2 expensive loans (Parker and Pennant. Net cost really only 1 - if Wenger wll take back Bentley as part of deal and let us keep Greeno until the summer) (b) a Div 1 striker (Ashton) on terms. 750,000 pounds down with the rest on terms. (c) a tall, young central defender (not Huth please) on terms(Actually I''d far prefer Worthy to give Shackell a real chance first- if he''s good enough he''s old enough, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating) (d) an erratic (with huge potential) Danish youngster (Kristiansen) from a hard up Danish club. then what is the point of being in the Premiership. Eh Delia?? ................................................................................... The ''next Arsene Wenger'' (Delia on Worthy a few weeks ago in The Guardian - I think - for those who missed it) will not make it if he is not provided with reasonable funds. (in our context). Even the current Arsene Wenger needed some good money to start and would like some more!!!!! All this self-soothing stuff about going down and coming back up stronger is PSYCHOLOGICALLY WRONG AND VERY DANGEROUS. We must do every thing possible within reason to stay up this time. A measured risk must be taken in January - just like last year -without breaking the bank. How about getting in Harry and Jim on a short term consultancy for a couple of months!!!!!!! - as I''m not sure that wheeling and dealing is our stong suite!!!!!!!!! Rant over for now; from a 1959er'' OTBC - now''s your chance. [Hope you like the colours Dumble, ...........      I just found those glasses!!]
5.
Yeah and Kevin Keegan was a good second division striker for Southend until Liverpool bought him !!!!!!
Navyman.  I think you mean Scunthorpe under the late, Canary great Ron Ashman (rather than Southend). OTBC.
6. According to ''Dodgy Rumours'' we shall in January: (a) bring in Scott Parker from Chelsea on loan (b) swap Arsenal''s Jermaine Pennant for David Bentley (c) buy Dean Ashton from Crewe for 750,000 pounds (d) buy (?) a tall central defender (probably Robert Huth from Chelsea) (e) buy Jan Kristiansen (''Denmark''s Wayne Rooney") from Esjberg - with a little help from Thomas Helveg. Sounds good to me! Heck, I just woke up!! OTBC.
7. Why did him drinking Lucozade not win any of the previous league games for us??????? Funny peculiar as my old Gran would say Maybe he switched to Guiness for Southampton without telling you Sam. Brilliant!! OTBC.
8. ...........selected as the 2 central midfielders in the BBC Sport Premiership Team of the Week. Hucks was also selected as 1 of the 4 reserve strikers to Craig Bellamy and Kevin Davies. Great going lads. Proud of you. OTBC.
9. Interesting that [a] City used no substitutes yesterday. When did that last happen? [b] 9 of the 11 in the team yesterday were in last season''s squad. [c] All 5 substitutes on the bench were new signings. Any significance OTBC
10. Now let''s go! Onwards and upwards! Fans let''s help build the momentum! Worthy - forget sentiment - back class, back Leon, give Shackell and Jarvis a chance (Palace are playing with two 19 year olds) and for goodness sake get some height in central defence. Now''s your chance. Never mind the danger. OTBC.
11. Skysports.com is predicting a draw Charlton 1-1 Norwich. Quite frankly I would take that..............but, but pppplease Lady Luck turn for us on the 13th...........so that we can get a win.........even a lucky win. OTBC never mind the danger, now''s your chance.........!!!!!!
12. I''ve seen Crystal Palace 3x recently and they are playing with 2 19-year olds. If you''re good enough you''re old enough (Shackell, Jarvis). Either (a) our youngsters are not good enough or (b) their manager has more sense than our manager. Discuss!!!!!!!!!! OTBC - now''s your chance..............
13.
Man City are normally known as City, Norwich are not....would have thought that was fairly precise
ncfc4prem Norwich not normally known as City??????? You''ve got to be joking. Where have I been since 1958? You must be a ManU fan on leave! OTBC - what''s that you ask? - ON THE BALL CITY.
14. But it''s the City playing at home. According to him on the BBC website Manchester City are City and Norwich are Norwich. Let''s hope his prediction is equally imprecise. OTBC.
15. Zipper. I wasn''t there, but reading between the lines of various match reports, I fear that it is your latter explanation.. Hope I''m wrong! OTBC.
16. The Sporting Life website has two Premiership league tables based on first half performance and second half performance. Guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the First Half performance table, City are rockstone bottom. Pl 10 --W1 D3 L6 -- GF1 GA10--Pts 6  In the Second Half performance table City are flying in 8th spot level on points with Spurs & Bolton. Pl 10 --W3 D4 L4 --GF8 GA7 --Pts 14 Well, well, well. Apparently we don''t earn the right to play until the second half. I wonder why? Now what was it that Archie Macaulay gave the players before matches in 1958-59. Sherry & raw eggs , I think!!!!!!! OTBC. (P.S. In the Disciplinary table based on red & yellow cards We are soaring in 5th place - behind Man Utd & Chelsea in 1st and 2nd places respectively!)
17. The ''clinical striker needed'' has been available to Worthy all season. If Leon had been in from game 1 we would be mid-table. Just look at his ** Chances per game ratio. ** Goals per start ratio. ** Goals per chance ratio. Up with the best I would wager. He holds the ball up better than most. His speed, power and determination are disruptive to opposing defences. Of course he misses chances, but so do all strikers including Owen, Henry, Defoe et al. Nuff said. OTBC.
18. 1st Wizard. Why on earth Harewood for $5.I''d prefer Beattie for $8m or Michael Owen for a cut price $10m.Puzzles me why the Board didn''t take out a 30 year mortgage and go after Wayne Rooney. No d*mn ambition. Too bad. So sad.
19. Gazza/G8  I think we basically agree. Attacking formations from minute 1 for key games. Trust Leon. Earn the right to play, then get the ball down & pass the d*mn thing (Worthy last season) Apart from Ron Saunders (and we all forgive him) that''s been the Norwich way since 1958. Back class, give the youngsters chances & trust the players. In return, the crowd must back Worthy & the team 110% from minute 1 for 90 minutes. Saw the Everton match on TV and our crowd noise and backing was not up to scratch. Lessons can be learned from Pompey!! As Paul Walsh said in his comments on TV in the Everton match, the City display in the 2nd half is the MINIMUM - the MINIMUM - required for the Premiership. OTBC, now''s your chance......
20. Great series of posts Campbell. What does ''the Lord'' know of Wizards, Ist Wizard? Ease up and relax! If we were all so picky and uptight, we would be telling you to submit your posts to the spell check.   Ouch! OTBC
21. a1 Agree with you 100%. However, will give you 100-1 against it happening. OTBC.
22. Will this be the story of our season? If Worthy will trust the players to come out all guns blazing from the start in the key games, I think that we will surprise ourselves. Anybody out there agree? OTBC.
23. The Guardian did. They made him their ''man of the match''. I agree. An excellent performance. Well done Leon. With a bit of luck you will make it in the Premiership. Just keep on doing what you''re doing. Again I agree Jim - we need a top class midfielder more than a striker come January. OTBC.
