  1. Both honoured and excited to be in the seat on 4 Nov and will try my hardest to add some funds to the kitty.
  2. I think the question for me was whether the two tackles in question were unsporting and therefore correctly punished by a yellow card or serious foul play and therefore punished with a red. I''m not a referee but I though that a yellow card was probably the right call for the challenge on Maddison. It was more than clumsy, it was cynical and nasty, but I think that most referees would have reached for the yellow card. I thought the red card for Watkins was also probably the right call or perhaps more accurately that it was a reasonable decision. It''s the sort of challenge that referees tend to punish more severely even if it is less cynical. I do agree that there seemed to be quite a bit of persistent fouling going on, which the ref seemed to ignore. But after a quick look through the BBC live text it doesn''t seem quite as prevalent as I remember. But I am biased, so I guess my yellow and green specs might have magnified this a little at the time!!
  3. Echo that - well done Diane and Twidio, great picks and very good way to round off the weekend.
  4. You''re more than half way there Diane. Very exciting! I have a good feeling and reckon you are going to pull this one off!
  5. This week I fancy a bit of Turkish Delight, with top of the table Galatasaray to beat third from bottom Karabukspor. For the Norwich bet I fancy a few goals so how about a Norwich win with both teams to score. Good luck to Diane and Twidio. I''ve got a feeling that we will be lucky this week!
  6. Good morning everyone. I have decided to head over to Italy for my pick, a home win for Roma against Udinese (1-4 on Bet365). I fancy a narrow win for us, to keep the away fan''s hearts warm on the long trip home. 2-1 to the yellows at (12-1 on Bet365). Best of luck to Mr Angry and Indy Bones. I''ve got a feeling we''re going to be lucky this week!!
  7. Nothing really shouted out to me so I''m going to go for Tottenham v Swansea, with a home win for Spurs - currently 1-5 on Bet365. In the Norwich game I think it will be 1-1 which is 11/2 on Bet365. Good luck Lakey and Splutchco!
  8. Hello everyone. It''s my first time so hoping for some beginners luck. I''m going for Fulham v Cardiff and I''m predicting that Cardiff''s perfect start will come to an abrupt end with a home win for Fulham. For the Norwich match bet I''m going for a 2-1 home win. Good luck Daniel and KK with your picks!
  9. Go on then... Ricardo - Jamaica? Van Wink - Panama? My wife''s gone to Indonesia..... And on a more serious note I hope everyone keeps safe whilst Irma blows through.
  10. Thanks Til. When my niece was little she couldn''t say my real name, which is Anthony, and it used to come out as Han-knee-knee. That was over twenty years ago and my wife still calls me Hanny at home. As my niece got older I used to play the ''bad'' uncle role and we''d get into all sorts of minor mischief, riding my niece''s little pink bike into my mum''s fishpond by accident being a prime example! Somehow Hanny morphed into Hansterbubble and my niece used to sing "hansrebubble, hansterbubble, always in loads of trouble'' to tease me, which not surprisingly stuck. I''ll have a look next week and send across a pick!
  11. Captain B, yes it''s our go to Friday night tea so I have followed scampigate with a keen interest. Didn''t there use to be a ''sticky'' thread that set out what the PUPs were all about, or have I misremembered that? I think I know more or less what it''s about as I saw an article a while back where a cheque was being presented to FONCY. Not sure of the mechanics of it all but it sounds like fun and I''d be happy to give it ago, although I''m not much of a tipster!
  12. You''re not the only sleeper on here. I read the forum every day and think it''s a great source of gossip and info for those of us who live outside of Norwich. I prefer not to post, but I''m grateful for all those that do, as I''d be much the poorer without you all. There, I think that''s doubled my post count - hopefully it might be less than 3 years till the next one.
  13. Good evening Sir H. You have finally broken my cover. Not sure about this one. I quite like Puncheon, he is unspectacular but seems quite effective, although I am not sure he is better than our current crop of players. Plus it would upset my Palace mate and could affect the transfer of the signed City shirt that he has acquired for me and is keeping safe until I next brave the wastelands of East Croydon.
