breaker 0 Posted August 22, 2005 Last week I watched PSG play Toulose in Paris - great stadium, crap view, expensive tickets, far too many Gauloises, average football but there was so much passion from the supporters! I know we are not allowed flares and maybe would not want drummers sat next to us but I have heard that there appears to be less passion from the City supporters this season. Is this true? (not able to get a season ticket so cannot offer an opinion other than the Inter friendly which was extraordinarily quiet). Carrow Rd is a very contained ground which could (and has) provide a very daunting atmosphere to opposing clubs but is seemingly not doing so. I know the football hasn''t been that great but the fans should play their part. Comments?

Granted it was a friendly so the atmosphere will reflect that to a certain extent but even so it was incredibly quiet! The atmosphere is always better at away matches - Norwich fans seem to sing their hearts out then so why can''t we do it at home??
BedsCanary 0 Posted August 22, 2005 Friendlies are never the same. I can''t recall a single friendly in the club''s history where there has been a decent atmosphere. You can''t call Norwich fans passionless after last season. Our showing at Fulham surely proved that we are the best supporters in the country
Mook 0 Posted August 22, 2005 "Our showing at Fulham surely proved that we are the best supporters in the country"Bet Man City, Newcastle, Sunderland, Portsmouth, West Brom etc etc love comments like that. Fulham was great, and away games tend to be noisy for us - but the home games are not as good as the clubs I''ve listed and probably a host more.
breaker 0 Posted August 22, 2005 Beds Canary - no-one is suggesting that last year''s performances were passionless (anything but) it is the first three home games this season that have not had the same level of noise/passion/desire (allegedly!).
ronbol ronbol 0 Posted August 22, 2005 I sing my heart out at every home game along with several thousand others in the barclay and snakepit.Nothing has changed from last season, The jarold stand is hardly best known for noise!I would possibly say there is more passion this season than last, as you can see by the moans and groans at the end of the last couple of games. This is down to the frustration and the wanting your team to do well. I call this passion! we were expected to lose last season this season we are expected to win. Keep the noise up and the players will respond.
