WesHoolahansDefendant 0 Posted August 12, 2014 If a bid isn''t substantial, how long is the average time it takes for a club tp reject it?The Stoke bid was yesterday now and you''d expect we may have heard something had it not met our valuation
CaptnCanary 0 Posted August 12, 2014 Wouldn''t expect anything of the sort. We don''t even know if a serious bid was made, just an enquiry, or if it its pure speculation. The club won''t comment unless a deal is agreed.
barclay_boy111 0 Posted August 12, 2014 You often see clubs apparently bidding for players and never hear about it ever again, the club won''t and don''t have to announce weather they have rejected or accepted a bid for a player and we rarely hear about it if they do. Bill 1,788 Posted August 12, 2014 almost all of this will be an agent feeding the press with these storiessome like sky, talkshite and the sun will print anythingwhich allows the others to fill their pages by stating ''it has been reported that .......... '' just as with guessed at transfer feesmaybe you should ask yourself insteadwhy would a buying club risk others jumping in by announcing their intention or fee ?as time and time again we hear clubs state that no offer has been made when the not too bright are over exciting themselves about some idiotic ''report''

Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,220 Posted August 12, 2014 Public bids are often made with the intention of spurring along a pre-existing deal that may be stalling.

City 2nd 191 Posted August 13, 2014 Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has confirmed he wants to bring Norwich City’s young starlet Nathan Redmond to the Britannia Stadium.Hughes revealed on Tuesday afternoon his club had made contact with the Canaries over the availability of the England Under-21 international, following disclosure on Monday of a firm £5m move - after an earlier summer enquiry was reportedly knocked back.“There is an interest there. He is a good young player, a player that we like but he is not our player,” Hughes told Skysports. “He is Norwich’s player and they are well within their rights to retain the players that are under contract to them. There is nothing moving on that one at the moment so we just have to bide our time.”
