unique 466 Posted March 31, 2014 As close as the relegation battle is at the bottom of the PL, the race for the title / top four doesn''t look as though it will be doing Norwich any favours.Liverpool and Chelsea will likely need to be firing on all cylinders, ManU need to be doing everything they can to save face, and although Everton''s win on Sunday appears to have helped Norwich, Everton are now hounding Arsenal for that fourth Champions League spot. There is still every chance that Arsenal will need points on the last day of the season to preserve their lengthy period of entry to the CL.It''s looking less and less likely that those ''big four'' will be anywhere the beach as were Man City and WBA last season. Reggie Strayshun 0 Posted March 31, 2014 Whilst I cannot fault your logic , Unique, it''s a sorry state of affairs that we might have to rely on teams being ''on the beach'' in May to get the points necessary to stay up by the skin of our teeth. And tells you all you need to know about how far this great club has sunk under Hughton''s mismanagement. For the record, I too am rather assuming that Arsenal will be either out of contention or nailed on for 4th place by May 11th
SwindonCanary 457 Posted March 31, 2014 Let''s not forget that Manchester City were not ''on the beach'' when they drew 0-0 with us in February
Dubai Mark 0 Posted March 31, 2014 The thing is that regardless of the situation with each of the four, they could all probably field a second eleven that would give the rest of the league a hard match.......the challenge was always going to be there and it hasnt and will not change. That said, with our record this season at home and against the "bigger" clubs a couple of points is not out of the question and we should remain positive rather than write these games off. 4th floor 4 Posted March 31, 2014 We have to hope that either Man United or Chelsea get through to the CL semi-finals and fatigue sets in? They''re both away games, but Arsenal seem to be the best chance we have of getting 3 points from the final couple of home ones.
