Sussexyellow 55 Posted December 28, 2013 With West Ham and WBA drawing we are now guaranteed to not be in the bottom three at the end of the calendar year. Why is this significant? Well when I was doing a bit of resarch last January, as a result of a discussion with Ricardo on here, I found that in premiership history that there was approximately an 80% chance that 2 of the relegated sides will come from the bottom three on 31 December. I recall that there has never been a season when all three clubs have escaped. So one and very probably two of the relegated sides are likely to come from the bottom three as of this Tuesday. The bad news of course is that one of the bottom three is likely to escape.
Green and Yellow fellow 0 Posted December 28, 2013 statistically 50.01% of statistics mean nothing though. The bottom three are picking up form and points. A long way to go as yet!

Thirsty Lizard 3,215 Posted December 28, 2013 Statistically Fulham got slaughtered 6-0 at Hull.(And before some doom monger comes on I''ll say it for them - statistically Fulham won 2-1 at Carrow Road).

spudgfsh 0 Posted December 28, 2013 The last time all three went down was 2002-03 though. It''s looking good for Fulham now though as the last 8 teams to be 18th on 00:01 on New years day have stayed up.
