play the second string and youngsters for the games against man utd and man city, take the pressure of the first choice players and give them a break, but spend more time in training, do some team bonding stuff as well.we dont really stand a chance in these two games, no one expects us to get anything anyway, and no one gives a damn about the league cup anymore, lets not risk injury and more fatigue, as well as avoiding the players confidence taking a beating should we end up taking two hidings. give the murphys some game time, put hoolahan and johnson back in, bechhio, morris, toffolo etc

seriously though, rest them, double the training instead, work on tactics and attacking options, send them on team building exercises or something else distracting, let the kids/reserves take a whooping instead and start again against west ham. fresh and hungry

all im saying, is that not playing any of the first team was a no brainer, sensible managerial choice, hughtons lost the plot and is making stupid choices because of the pressure hes coming under4-0 and our two best wingers are now injuredwould have preferred 7-1 with the murphys getting some experience at old trafford and NO INJURIES
