Making Plans 936 Posted September 1, 2013 Today I have watched Liverpool v Man U & Arsenal v Spurs and for all the supposed talent, and very expensive foreign signings, on display I didn''t see anyone that came close to Redmond yesterday.Spurs have spent a fortune & yet none of those signings looked anything but ordinary. Liverpool too, and yet I saw nothing that made me think wow, he''s a great player. Not many new players at Arsenal or Man U but the "old guard" of Young, Wellbeck, Nani, Walcott etc looked decidedly average compared to Redmond''s pace & enthusiasm yesterday.Early days I know but I wouldn''t swap him for anyone based on what I''ve seen so far.Get RVW up to PL speed, get Hooper fit & we might just have got us the start of a proper team. morty 0 Posted September 1, 2013 Neither game lived up to my expectations!
Mister Chops 7 Posted September 1, 2013 Apparently Nacer Chadli was playing for Tottenham. Think he touched it twice. They should have kept the Doc.
TIL 1010 4,746 Posted September 1, 2013 Redmond is a young lad and we need to take great care with him. The expectancy level from our fans will be high based on what we have seen of him so far but there is little doubt that Hughton will rest/drop him for his and our good and protection. That is when this messageboard will get interesting.
