S10 Canary 0 Posted July 10, 2013 I know TalkSport is the anti-christ but I came across this which folks might fancy listening to.http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/sports-breakfast/130710/grant-holt-leaving-norwich-wigan-201320
SwindonCanary 457 Posted July 10, 2013 He''s saying all the right things, but by the sound of it, he feels he''s gone downhill a little and couldn''t keep pace with Norwich''s progression.
Tumbleweed 106 Posted July 10, 2013 To me it sounded as though he knew he wasn''t going to get a look in because of RVW (which as you say is down to NCFC''s progression)and at this stage in his career the chance to play in Europe was a big draw rather than just sitting in the stands most games. Decent little interview.
Jonzey 0 Posted July 10, 2013 He said he''d gone as far as he could with Norwich, which may be true. I think he could have done a job for another year. But I''m slowly coming to terms with it and maybe he''s right. I''ll follow Wigan next season and hope the big man does well.Good luck Holty.
S10 Canary 0 Posted July 10, 2013 There was an air of resignation in his voice I felt. We''re rightly bringing in technically better players to push us into the top 10, and Grant knew his role would be changing dramatically. I imagine although he will be glad to be back up North, part of him is genuinley sad to have been sold.A real NCFC icon. Thanks & good luck.
