allways travelling 0 Posted June 2, 2005 There has been quite a lot of press with regard to green needing and wanting to play in the premiership rather than the championship.Could be the time for worthy to point out several other players of old ie mr andy marshall who was at one stage worshipped same as greeno is. now look were he ended up not to mention kenton wanted to leave to play in prem same failure with him. Bet both of these wished they had never left.Have a feeling the same could happen to greeno the way he is worshipped at norwich sometimes mistakes he has made you tend to overlook i dont think the same would happen at another club and he could easily find himself on the slippery slope and wishing he had never left.So greeno forget about paying in prem next year and concentrate on getting us back there. blacko 0 Posted June 2, 2005 I agree, he looked nervous in the England match, not surprisingly, but if he played for Man U or Arsenal, the spotlight would be on him all the time and does he have the temperament for it. Only time will tell and he is still young for a goalkeeper. I think it is in his best interest to stay.
Northern Canary 0 Posted June 2, 2005 are you sure you are not just saying that because you dont want him to leave?
Ken Aries 0 Posted June 2, 2005 I hope he does go, provided we can gain something like 3 million pounds for him. That would represent excellent business in my opinion. The only thing I fear is that this: is Greeno going, or is he staying question, could turn into a long drawn out, boring saga.

If they go to bigger clubs, then places become available, and the goalkeepers dance their merry dance. Personally, if Ferguson was opting for a cheaper keeper than £8m rated Robinson, Greeno would be by far one of his best options. However, would Greeno take the dream move in the hope that he could shift Howard from the top spot? If he moves, he''s got to move to a club that guarantees him first choice keeper every game. It''s no use going to one of the big guns and battling for your place. He needs to be on show, week in, week out for Sven to take notice of him. He''s a canny lad is Greeno, and i''m sure he''ll move to another club based on how it will influence his England career, not on the size of his wage increase and the chance to be number 1. His England career is too much in it''s infancy to take that chance.Wherever he goes, i wish him luck. He signed a new contract with us, which guarantees we get a good fee for him. He didn''t have to do that, and could have moved on a Bosman with increased wages. For that, he should be appluaded.
