Muddy funster 0 Posted June 5, 2012 I watched a bit of this on a stream and I have to say the right hand side centre half looked excellent for Hungary. Composed and quick enough to make Robbie Keane look like an overweight school boy trying to chase a ball with him. It was a pretty dire match though with very little creative spark and yes, the very same thing occurred to be!
Phillip J Fry 0 Posted June 5, 2012 Ireland remind me greatly of England (or should it be Ireland remind me greatly of England?) Defensively solid, offensively weak. To be fair Ireland are better offensively than England and I actually reckon they could take England in a match at the moment. It just seems that Trapattoni doesn''t want offensively exiting players to play. I honestly think that Ireland''s offensive issues could be solved very simply by dropping Damien Duff in favour of James McClean. With James McClean and Aiden McGeady out wide or on (Trapattoni''s preferred inverted wide midfielders) I think there would be noticeable improvement for Ireland offensively. Of course I think Wes should be in the squad as a potential plan B, so what do I know?

Budapest Canary 154 Posted June 5, 2012 Since a family ticket was only 15 quids (!) I took the missus and the kiddies as well to the game. Well, the experience, complete with thunderstorm, due to which kick-off was postponed by 20 minutes, during which we were seeking shelter at various covered points of the Puskas Stadium -- in lack of covered stands -- was priceless! As for the game. Although Ireland''s two pacy wide-man caused some trouble in the first half, without proper follow up these did not amount to much. Wes could probably spice up Ireland''s unspectacular style! (But had he been included, wouldn''t we all worried for losing him to Villa?) From the two sides the home team looked more lively. Crafty and physical Croatia will be a tougher opposition.
