Mahogany 0 Posted September 3, 2011 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/sep/02/secret-footballer-england-goalkeepersInteresting to hear a players perspective on the dearth of top level English goalkeeping talent. There''s a couple of mentions of Norwich as well.Last week in the Premiership only 4 English keepers played, 2 of which have retired from international football. Only Hart and Ruddy are both English and still open to playing international football, makes you think if Ruddy keeps putting in good performances, it won''t be long till he gets a call up.Secondly there''s a comment about Angus Gunn being one of the brightest prospects in English goalkeeping. In terms of top level international talent, we''re hardly three deep in any position.
andyc24_uk 63 Posted September 3, 2011 Unfortunately for England, Angus Gunn would be eligible for Scotland as well, and might well choose to follow in his father''s footsteps...

Mr Strong 0 Posted September 4, 2011 Why not - he is now in the Under 21''s and Fielding got a call up.You never know how things work out - he could be there in 4 or 5 years.
