Fun at school

Recommended Posts

A primary teacher starts a new job at a school in East Anglia and, trying to make a good impression on his first day, explains to his class that she is a Ipswich fan. He asks his students to raise their hands if they, too, are Ipswich fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand expect one little boy.

The teacher looks at the boy with surprise and says: ''Dave, why didn''t you raise your hand?''

''Because I''m not a Ipswich fan'', he replied.

The teacher, still shocked, asked: ''Well if you''re not an Ipswich fan, then who are you a fan of?''

''I''m a Norwich fan, and proud of it'', Dave replied.

The teacher could not believe his ears.

''Dave, why, pray tell, are you a Norwich fan?''

''Because my mum and dad are from Norwich, and my mum is a Norwich fan and my dad is a Norwich fan, so I''m a Norwich fan too!''

''Well, ''said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, ''that''s no reason for you to be a Norwich fan. You don''t have to be just like your parents all the time. What if your mum was a prostitute and you dad was a drug dealer and car thief, what would you be then?''

''Then'', Dave smiled, ''I''d be an Ipswich fan.''
