Panic 0 Posted August 25, 2009 Have Norwich always had a poor defence? I''ve supported ncfc for nearly 18 years and can remember the dark wilderness years (eg 1997/1998) when we used to leak goals at an abnormal rate.Again the defence wasn''t quite good enough to keep us in the Premier League (I seem to remember the debate at the time was how short the players were).Or perhaps I''m just scapegoating defenders…
Downloads 35 Posted August 25, 2009 Not surprising since we havn''t invested any money in the defence in so long i can''t remember.
GJP 79 Posted August 25, 2009 Too many changes over recent season all through the team, no stability. We haven''t defended well as a team. Having said that, there''s no doubt that that the defence itself needs to be worked on.I''m sure Lambert will know that and I think he''s finally the right man to do something about it. Our issue back then was that we didnt score enough goals as a team with Iwan bagging the most at around 14/15 a season.
HappyhammerAndy 0 Posted August 25, 2009 Duncan Forbes and Kelvin Keelan, now there''s two good Norwich defenders, or not?
