Rio Canary 0 Posted August 13, 2009 There seems to be a lot of misplaced euphoria about last night''s win at Yeovil. Great result, especially on the back of the hiding at home to Colchester, but far too early to be trumpeting promotion.I hope Gunny can get a stable 15 or so players together and that they remain relatively injury free. Consistancy will be the key and anyone with a half decent memory will know that Norwich are quite capable of a 4 goal victory only to plunge into mediocrity again on Saturday and lose. I hope this isn''t the case, but it is early days yet. One swallow doesn''t a summer make and one victory (especially in the League Cup) doesn''t a promotion challenge make. As Gunny said, the next 45 games will sort that issue out. It''s a long, hard slog.
Nexus_Canary 1,016 Posted August 13, 2009 blue and canary are 2 words that surely dont go together !?!?!?!hehe, welcome none the less. Lets just hope we get a result saturday or it will be another long hang over sunday !!
Rio Canary 0 Posted August 13, 2009 We certainly should get a result. Exeter aren''t exactly footballing gaints. However, we have to knock out these wins away from home to shoot back to The Championship!
Nexus_Canary 1,016 Posted August 13, 2009 anything less than 3pts on saturday is a failure !

They did well away to Leeds last week and matched them for long periods of it.Not to be taken for granted by anyone I think.
Howson is now! 0 Posted August 13, 2009 It is indeed easy to get carried away but I think the majority of the euphoria was down to the fans demanding a response and we certainly got a response. I know it seems strange to be thinking it about league 1 teams but I think Exeter away could be a bit tricky. They did very well against Leeds last week as someone mentioned. We need to take the confidence from the Yeovil game, stick with the team (no-one deserves to lose their place imo) and hope for three points and the boys to come back with plenty of confidence for Brentford next Tuesday. First Jedi 0 Posted August 13, 2009 I don''t think it''s easy.It took a 4 nil win to bring us slightly back from how far we were anti-carried away by our drubbing.
a1canary 0 Posted August 13, 2009 Indeed Jedi - just as easy to get carried away with one defeat, terrible though it was.TBH though, i think Gunn needs to preside over at least another 6 or 7 wins in the next 10 to start to get some faith back. Mine included.
