Doncaster had faults no doubt but I always found him very ready to communicate - arguably he was sometimes too willing to write, lengthy letters to fans who took the trouble to write in. The real difference for me this season is that Roeder has gone. He tried very hard to dismember our club and cast it bit by bit to the four winds. He almost succeeded. Maybe Doncaster played no part in Roeder''s dismissal - or maybe he did. But Roeder''s departure has meant at long last we have got our club back and can build a squad full of our own players. Whether we will have a successful club this season depends on other clubs as well as ours. But for me the feeling is a million times better. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
RichT - The Biscuit 0 Posted July 22, 2009 Binky,Do you not think though that Doncaster did communicate but nothing really of any substance, all I think he''ll be remembered for is telling us fans how difficult times we were in, hence the nickname Doomcaster!I''ve no doubt that he did generally care but I think he was out of his depth.Completely agree re Roeder though, that was the worst decision this club has made in as many years as I can remember, and there have been a few others, if not too many to mention!
