BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted July 18, 2009 Is our squad going to be on seriously performance-based pay this season?Or are the club going to waste money as usual in recent years? This is a serious question as the supporters need to know if they are learning from their mistakes.OTBC
Alan_Grey 0 Posted July 18, 2009 Two sets of personal terms are on the table for a player. One is heavily performance-biased. The other less so. Which does the player choose? I think I know.Because of this, not every player will be on such a "scheme" and this will breed resentment. Because employees always talk to each other about their earnings. Therefore, this idea is a poor one.

I would only offer McVeigh a contract if it was pay as you play.

The PFA counsel against it and McVeigh is a good example of why. The people who signed him believed they had the money to pay as he played and they were then taken over by people who didn''t have the money.
