Coventry v Ipswich !

Recommended Posts

Saw a bit of the Coventry v Ipswich match down the pub on sunday, must admit I didn''t realise how good City had become compared with this ordinary fare.

Whilst my heart won''t let me see anything good at Portman Road, occasionally I put my sensible head on and I have to admit that Jim Magilton and Dean Bowditch were quite classy and carved out most of the forward opportunities in the match.

What I''m getting round to is the fact that I think we need a class playmaker and either of these two could do a good job for us, does anyone agree ? If so would they come ? We could swap with Mullers or Holty or .. . .. ..

As much as I hate to say it, Bent, Bowditch and Westlake are all quality, and I would welcome any of them with open green and yellow arms.

I am all for the dislike of "the old blue and white" but you have to be realistic with these things and keep it all in perspective.

Magilton, although class in their league, would not be good in ours.

Wouldn''t mind we''ve had some decent buys from down the road [putney, woods etc] as long as we don''t finish up with another  Jonny Miller!!

Jimmmmmmmmmmmmm Magilton.

Whose gonna push his wheelchair?

But Westlake and Bowditch - why not.

Not going to happen though. They''re on long term deals on low wages. What would Ip**** gain by selling them.

I agree. I thought the game was quite good and it was an entertaining match. Although Ipswich were flukey with there winner.

Would like bent, bowditch or westlake, but I think they wouldn''t come cheap!!
