Saint Canary 0 Posted October 29, 2004 This is going to sound really nasty and I am not going to start discussing what I think of him as a player but I can’t help feeling a little disappointed that Gary Holt will be fit for Man City. I would love to have seen how we play without him, maybe it would be worse, maybe better but I would love to see what Safri could do.

I ...[/quote] i don''t think you are alone in that saint if there was one game in this league when we should be playing (like man city) it is against them. I do wonder why safri ever came to this club and guess he might be thinking the same thing, from what i have seen of him so far (i almost blinked and missed it) he is a better passer of the ball than holt and can tackle - would like to see him and damo in midfield before i die ........ DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted October 30, 2004 Gary Holt does seem to be Mr undroppable! I know in recent years we have got used to him not being dropped as he''s been magnificent. But this year he certainly hasn''t been as good. On the flip side, what I''ve seen of Safri has been superb. He seems like such a good battling play maker. This could be vital at the CoM
alex_ncfc 686 Posted October 30, 2004 I agree to all you say but waste of our time discussing it really - sadly at the end of the day, we all know Gary Holt would be the first name on the teamsheet even if he lost a leg.

clint masters 0 Posted October 31, 2004 After watching the game against everton, and reading what the rest of you have written, i totally agree, Holt showed nothing at all, he looks to me like the type of player who does the easy things well but will not take any risks with his passing, that is what seperates ordinary players from stars, you need to have the guts to try things and not always go for the sure things.
