When will the EEN give up with their keep us up campaign?

Recommended Posts

It just an indictment of the whole attitude around our club. It''s a complete farce and needs to be stopped now, I just can''t help laughing to be honest.

Every day in the evening paper they have an article now about staying positive to keep us up, maybe we need to email the guy who''s running it [:D] bless him.

Wonder when they''ll give up with that and start campaigning with the fans to get rid of the board.

Totally agree CA.

As we were both at the NCISA meeting last Thursday, as were Archant representatives, and we know that the mood has swung against the Board. I said in the other NCISA thread that Roger and Neil were rather fortunate that the meeting was last Thursday when there was a crumb of comfort to cling to after the Loftus Road result. Hardly feel good but at least something. Had it been this coming Thursday - after a likely defeat on Tuesday to follow on from the Blackpool shambles - then it could have been a much much bumpier ride for the two guests. I felt a slight admiration for Roger and Neil in that they were willing to face any potential flak, but, predictably, if there were any straight answers given to our questions they were well camouflaged in the '' spin ''. Newspapers on the other hand hold a lot more power than any meeting ever can.

What is it with Archant? This simpering '' Get Behind Our Boys '' rubbish splashed around their titles glosses over the hard fact that serious questions have to be asked of the present Board of Norwich City Football Club.. Despite needing to keep '' onside '' with the Club - they do have to fill their papers after all -  Archant hold a lot more clout than us lot on here and it''s about time they bared their teeth.

Having just heard that Archant are shedding a further fifty jobs around their main titles perhaps is not the best time to expect anyone to put their neck on the line, but, as we public pay their wages, perhaps more robust reporting wouldn''t go amiss ?

[/quote]Never, they haven''t got the heart or the balls.  Radio Norfolk isn''t any better either, time after time they could try to find out why the club has so badly lost its way but they seem more interested in asking easy cliched questions to Bryan Gunn after yet another home defeat, followed by Neil Adams agreeing with every caller''s point of view on Canary Call.

Think it might take some time yet CA. During the Chase Out era the papers only starting turning right at the end. It''s all to do with sales and as someone else mentioned they are cost cutting so probably don''t see anything happening at NCFC as a priority. I suspect there are still a huge number of fans who don''t see the board in a bad light and amazingly some who couldn''t even name anyone else on it bar Delia.

Shame really, Archant up against the PR factory at the club would be interesting to say the least.

The press will change once they feel the mood is right (soon probably) and as you say, when they can justify maximum sales from it.  I can certainly remember even during the darkest days of Chase, the local media didn''t turn straight away.
