Canary Boy 0 Posted February 28, 2009 I heard Neil Adams say that the £8.5 million pound wages bill that we have cannot be sustained by the gate money.Have I worked this out correctly?£8.5 Million divided by 25,000 fans equals £340 pounds.£340 divided by 23 home games works out at about £14.78 each per home game.I''m probably way off the mark there as I''m no accountant and was only in set 4 for maths at school...but am I anywhere near? Can we not sustain that?
Dions Lightsaber 0 Posted February 28, 2009 I guess the fact wages aren''t our only outgoing might be a good place to start...
jetstream 0 Posted February 28, 2009 I think the clue is in the phrase "I''m no accountant"
chicken 0 Posted February 28, 2009 I don''t care what he says about gates covering anything but it puts the piddly prachute payments into perspective does it not?In addition is the wage bill what it is before performance related extra''s etc?Ok so I am being pedantic but I am not entirely sure if this matters right now - £8.5million in wages must be one of the best paid squads in this league and yet they still can''t provide us with the results . . . . . . add to that Roeders pay off. K Lo 224 Posted February 28, 2009 The performance bonuses shouldn''t amount to much unless they''ve all got RBS style contracts then they''ll get hundreeds of thousands each for getting us relegated.Note to self: Next job, get it written into your contract to get paid shed loads to completely **** up.
