Water the pitch

Why oh why does Glen Roeder insist that the pitch has to be water logged before a match, To then watch his players spending  most of their time on their bottoms because they can''t stay on their feet.

It''s the same for both sets of players isn''t it?

And I believe i was told softer turf is a little more forgiving on the joints and muscles when running etc than harder ground.

Agree with that, but i''d sooner our players didn''t get hurt at all, they are human after all and not immune.

Maybe they should water the dance-floor in ''Mercy'' and see if they fall on their ar$e$ in there.....tonight.

It doesn''t matter whether the pitch is watered or not - we''re hopeless out there.
