Syteanric 1 Posted August 19, 2008 I only ever went in the clarence once.. after we beat the scum at poorman road when we went top of the league.. the place was deserted! me and 3 mates sat there drinking chatting about the game and watching "Jingle all the way" on the TV.. even the barman came and sat with us for a chat....This was on a Sunday.. i thought the place would of been rammed with city fans... it was at the end of the pubs life thoughjas :)
Carrowfortress 0 Posted August 19, 2008 If you want a busy pub before and after the games you should try Coach & Horses on Yarmouth Road. Always good atmosphere in there.
Pete Raven 276 Posted August 19, 2008 The CH was the best pre-match pub. I even met a couple of friendly away fans before the Wolves game in there (no, really). Sadly it was dead the rest of the week....

Those houses which were built on the site haven''t been a great success, I note most are still up for sale/rent. Not enough railway enthusiasts, that''s the problem.
