San Miguel 0 Posted August 6, 2008 annoyingly i can''t find the story on the internet at all but Sky Sports are showing images from the training ground at Flamengo. The fans decided to show their annoyance at the club dropping to 6th in Serie A, by setting off a bomb during a training session. The bomb hurt no-one and was intended to just shock the players into action i guess, but it''s an incredibly scary and stupid thing to do.Makes the odd protest at Carrow Road or Colney look like non-events in comparison. There was actually one aspect i couldn''t help but chuckle at (after learning no one was hurt of course). They show a clip when the bomb goes off and smoke going everywhere etc.. and all the players stop or duck down. The player on the ball at the time, however, just seemed to see it as an opportunity and took a punt at goal the moment everyone else stopped. Striker''s intinct i guess! Carlos Valderrama 0 Posted August 6, 2008 Did anyone ever see the clips of the Lazio fans storming the training ground. Never seen a set of players move so fast. It can get very scary, then we get Danny ''this is going to be tasty'' Dyer doing his knob routine and making the english look bad.....
chicken 0 Posted August 7, 2008 The problem has always been with Britain that we are honest.By that I mean for example when we had the BSE (mad cow) problems after deciding we had to ensure as few people were harmed as possible we anounced it to Europe. I personally think it was in hope that they would follow suit and then we could all work together against it. Instead whilst many other European countries had it (I knew a German at the time who openly informed me Germany had had it for years but just told no one) they declined to admit it and instead refused to buy our beef.To me the same thing happens with hoolaganism for some reason. It used to be rife in this country but is not as bad as it once was. Yet other places in Europe have far worse reputations but escape punnishment. There have been under "pushed" reports from players like Et''o that they recieve a lot of racial abuse even from their own fans. Then you had the fiasco in Italy where the fans ran amock. The last big "riot" that I can remember was a few years ago when Millwall were playing Leeds and there was a bit of a bash. The last thing I can remember here in Norwich was that guy that tried to gate crash training at Colney, we never heard the end of that one! The players seemed keen to give him a go though.
