KeelansGlove 0 Posted July 11, 2008 This is the typical hogwash statement we have come to expect from carrow rd.I am a small shareholder in Norwich City and I am sure that the breakdown in talks cannot end this way.Either the board has to detail exactly what wasn''t acceptable about Cullums offer to satisfy the fans that it really is in the best interests of the club or we must call an EGM to get these answers.Going into the new season with no significant investment in the team and no real answers to why talks broke down cannot be aloud to happen. I am not anti Delia and have stated before that I have wanted her to stay at the club regardless of any takeover if possible.I also think she should recieve a reasonable price for any shares she would have to sell, but if its just a matter of its my ball and nobody else can play Delias idea of a nice family club are about to come crashing around her ears. There will never again be the possibility of significant investment in the team by someone who has the possibility of making a real change to our fortunes.we must get used to the fact that unless we have a manager who can regularly pull rabbits out of hats we will not be competative in this league and we are likely to stay here for a very long time, if we are lucky !I dont want to go into next season like the Chase days, if this information is not forthcoming and acceptable I may just stay away.I have three Season tickets and will not try to get my money back.If Cullum really is trying to be unreasonable then we really have to accept that Delia is acting in the best interests of the club and the cash is a hollow offer but if not she will have shattered our dreams for her own ends and that ends in tears for all of us.We need the truth for the good of the club. National express super guard 0 Posted July 11, 2008 agreed. the best spin is the truth. I think thats what all the fans want. I too am a small shareholder, when they sold all those shares to raise money, and am intrigued, could we force an EGM, as there are many of us.I just want someone to think of the fans, we deserve the truth

KeelansGlove 0 Posted July 11, 2008 10% is required to call an EGM apparently 30% of shares are owned by fans so it should be possible, hopefully not neccesary if they give us the full story. The one thing that does not ring true is the details about Cullum paying a fair price for the companies he has taken over and being a fan of the club (and wanting Delia to stay involved) in some ways I hope it was a derisory offer because then we can get used to the fact that Delia was acting in the best interests of the club. If his 20 Million was genuine it would certainly be enough to get control of the club 16M shares and 4 million Directors loans at worst thats if he owned the club 100% and not all other shareholders would sell.I know Delia is a fan and wants what she sees as best for the club im just not sure we would all agree with her view and thats very worrying.
