Baldyboy 1 Posted May 6, 2008 i ask this because first of all he has alienated a lot of fans with the release of Hux, how will he replace him? we will have Martin, Cureton and Renton as our attacking players next season!! what a thought that is! ill bet other defences are quaking in their boots!!! i know he will sign players but realistically who is he going to get that can score goals? we cant continue to rely on loan players we HAVE to sign players permanently. also why earlier in the season did he say he was so impressed with Cave Brown and now hes released him? im baffled. why did ROEDER sign Velasco and now hes releasing him? bizarre. who will be the back up right back next season? Rusty, Doc? i really am mystified by roeder and the decisions he makes. god help him if we get off to a poor start next season.

Time to go Delia 0 Posted May 6, 2008 We will sign players ,trouble is they will be poor quality cheap stuff like Pattison ,big mistake from Roeder today Hucks was the only little piece of quality in our entire squad.
Unlucky Fried Kitten 0 Posted May 6, 2008 I''m not just saying this with the benefit of hindsight, but Colin W**ker would have been my choice to replace Grunt. I thought this at the time and he has since proved himself once more by doing an excellent job with Palarse. His CV should have alerted our board to his abilty as a football manager - six promotions in his career. As we all know Glenn has achieved none - so far. Hardhouse44 289 Posted May 6, 2008
We will sign other players, thats how football works.
We will but Roeder has taken a big risk in getting rid of the fans favourite. Maybe he knows his war chest will be big and therefore a replacement will be achievable. Maybe we can afford even to give Darren a contract. Who knows. One thing I think is that Roeder is his own man and very keen to get that across to the players and fans. Has Huckerby been used as an example. Why would you not give him another season. Is he not good enough. Maybe we couldn''t offer him the guarantee of regular starts. Who is going to be his replacement, how much will that replacement cost and will that replacement really be better than a 32 year old Darren Huckerby. If he is the we are all sitting pretty, if not Glenn will have some explaining to do.All this goes hand in hand with the bigger question, what is the clubs real ambition and what are they trying to achieve. I think the answer to that will be crystal clear come the first day of next season.
