Question about Hartson....

was his signing done by the board?

or was it done by Grant before he left..?

Or was it pushed through by Jim Duffy.?

 If its the latter then why is the caretaker boss being given so much influence over Signings already, surely only someone who is in the post of manager would agree to the loan?

 We could appoint a new manager tommorow who sends Hartson back to WBA straight away as not good enough... or does that mean that Jim Duffy has "unofficially" got the job and is already stamping his mark on the team?

I think you are probably over thinking this one it is quite common for caretaker managers to sign players and this is in no way an indication that he will get the job.  Please remember that we have a game coming up and Duffy may well be in charge and must prepare likewise.

I believe it was rumoured in a national newspaper that hartson was coming on loan to us. That was a day or so before PG went

Yup, Harford has signed several on loan since Gregory was sacked at QPR, but hardly anyone seems to think he''ll will get the post.
