Hump 0 Posted February 2, 2007 As there are so few Reserve games, is there a Norfolk Cup competition that we could enter?. At least it would give some local interest playing the likes of Kings Lynn, Dereham or Fakenham etc.Might even spot some talent we have missed. Can anyone answer the question

Syteanric 1 Posted February 2, 2007 i really dont know why Resevre fixtures arent structed like they were in the 90''s where u played on a friday night and had a game a week.. playing 30 games a season plus a cup game or something. it doesnt help youngsters or those coming back from injury if theres no games... also, at most teams its the only run out the 2nd choice keeper gets! and its vital to keep him sharpjas :)
GMF 1,010 Posted February 2, 2007 Jas. I''d think we''d all be happy to see more reserve games these days, but the "face of football" has changed for the worse. Many League One teams can''t afford to run a proper reserve side, whilst, at the top end of the Premiership, managers would rather send their fringe squad players out on loan to Championship teams, than keep them playing reserve team games.
