birminghamcanary 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Anyone else think that greeno would have saved that goal of theirs last night? At last? 0 Posted April 1, 2004 My gran would have held it.James was playing at his level for West Ham.What is the confidence level like for Robinson, James and Walker one or more of whom could be in Div 1 next season, compared to the confidence level of Green.England play two more games before the Euros v Japan and Iceland I think. Would be nice to think Green may get a half especially if one or more of the above named gets relegated / injured / loses form. However, realistically I think we need to trust the judgement of especially R Clemence who seems to like Green. Putting him in too early may be a mistake, but the experience he gains will be priceless for him, Norwich, and England long term.
ZLF 335 Posted April 1, 2004 Time may just be against Greeno for the Euro squad. If I am right the euro squad is announced before the two friendlies - it would take a brave manager to take greeno having never played a game at the top level, either in a league or international.. Mind you an injury to Robinson or James now would make things very interesting!
silver fox 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Would like to think he would have stopped it. I thought the Sky pundits summed it up nicely last night when they questioned taking 4 keepers and only playing James. I must admit from the close ups I saw Green, Robinson and Walker looked really fed up.
