one signing away from the club we want to be?

Recommended Posts

I truly believe that this club is one signing away from being the club we wish to be!

The club seem awful on the road.

Terrible at getting players in whilst in desperate need.

Yes we are winning at home and playing well but we havent really played anyone yet. We are off to Southend on tuesday, a side that are unbeaten at home (Oh Joy there goes the positive goal difference then) The board say prudence with ambition and yet regularly we see plenty of prudence yet no sign of ambition (Transfer window) Watching the championship this morning I could''nt help but notice what a change Keane has already made to sunderland, the following was massive and the belief appears there (A good season for them?)

Surely one transfer could turn us into the club we wish for (Prudence with Ambition) That transfer Curbishley brought in as manager! The man posseses all the characteristics are club claim to want.  He would frequently take Charlton to places like chelsea and pick up points, he has an eye for cheap lower league players. This man has a CV others can only dream of and is perfect for this club. Would we struggle to bring in players under this man NO! Players would flock here in the belief we are a club going places! So come on the board show us some of the ambition you talk about and make this so while he is available!

This is not another Worthy out rant but a fact that in Football you must be harsh at times. Our away form under this man is more than enough reason to oust Worthy and say thanks but non thanks. At a time when the most amazing candidate is available! I guarantee some championship side will snap him up soon if not Premiership. So lets show this ambition now and make a big decision that will show massive ambition and yet prudence at the same time!

There is no better man for this club, belief would rise, the away wins would follow and players would arrive (not at big prices)

PRUDENCE WITH AMBITION THIS MAN IS ALL THAT!

make it so!

Is that taking using the charlton model to extremes?

As successful as curbs was (and there would be few better candidates if NW is to be replaced) he did produce teams which were hugely inconsistent - goping through periods in a season of relegation form to spells of european qualification.

You may well be right. The truth is he couldn''t do any worse. Worthington can''t get away results that is a fact a plain fact. His overall record is terrible.

His away record is so terrible that it in a normal functioning club, with a forward vision it would make his position untennable.  Its so poor that not even the most ardent Worthy fans can defend it.

The club needs several players in truth, but the club in part, is being controlled by the bank, so funds are less than some people realise. Coupled with an overpaid manager who the club cannot afford to pay off, the overall scenario is not looking good.

It is very difficult to attact players here, partly due to finance, partly due to location and partly due to the lack of an inspirational and/or respected manager at this club. NCFC is the oldest hooker at the back of a brothel - no one wants to go there unless they really have to.

Maybe God has told Delia that Worthington will come good?

. . . and partly due to the fact that ambition has died an unnatural death.

Prudence did the dirty deed about 18 months ago and buried the body in a shallow grave.  She put a cardboard cutout in its place, and for a while no one noticed.  Then the corpse began to stink . . . and now everyone in football can smell it.
