Hardhouse44 289 Posted March 16, 2023 Avoiding the obvious that some are consistently bad. where are the consistent players the players who turn in 5,6,7 decent performances in a row. Solid performances. 7.5/8 out of 10 performances. we don’t have any! Giannoulis, Idah, awful players need rid asap offer nothing, contribute very little if anything . Once in a blue moon players. closely followed by Sorensen, Tzolis, Gibson, Nunez. Capable of the occasional good game but usually followed by a stinker. Sargent, Hernandez, Hanley, Dowell, both keepers and Sara. Better than the above in terms of what they have contributed this season but again great chunks of the season where the go missing, under perform and contribute to our own downfall very often, rather than to our success. Then there’s Pukki. A great player who is now sadly past his best but labouring in a team totally unable to player to his strengths. Still by far our most intelligent player. Alas to often not on the same wavelength as our dire supply line. I also think Kenny requires a mention on his own. I actually think he is our most consistent player if that isn’t a contradiction in terms. he is a neat, tidy player, he is never they worst on the pitch. Something that all the aforementioned are at one time or other but he is rarely the best. Kenny is a grafter but that’s never going to be enough without others around to share the burden and do the creative stuff. All in all this bunch of player just fail to turn in a performance often enough, together enough for us to be anything but upper mid table fodder!
cambridgeshire canary 7,803 Posted March 16, 2023 Given it's starting to become clear we are not good enough to go up and that a lot of our players will need to be sold and or have wages reduced for next season can't help but wonder if some of our players just don't care as they know they will be off soon. Please explain how you would reduce their wages bearing in mind our contractual obligations
