Thumbbass 318 Posted August 23, 2021 Can't believe anyone who supports Norwich would want rid of Cantwell. Proven PL goalscorer and creator will take the ball under pressure and capable of changing a game. Being lightweight is irrelevant in the PL, in fact it's probably an advantage. You're not going to see the best of him against Liverpool or Man City, possibly not even leicester, but he will be pivotal to surviving. Not often a right back is going to win the game for you, Max is easier to replace. But neither should go, the core of the squad need to settle now.
Capt. Pants 4,234 Posted August 23, 2021 I think it suicidal to sell either at this late stage. It won't be easy to replace Max, unless of course we're going to replace him with a left back in Williams. That then leaves us short for cover for LB as Mumba, although showing great promise, isn't ready yet. We all know how good Cantwell is and how important he is in how we play. Tony DaWonderful 35 Posted August 23, 2021 Well that's Williams in the door. I think that will engage a fresh focus from Aarons especially if Brandon starts against Bournemouth.

What other club on promotion to the PL would sell their very best player as soon as the window open. Even Brentford kept their best player, and out bid us for the Celtic defender. Bxxxxy Brentford for heaven sake! What does that tell us about any ambition this club has? Even then seeing the fees now being paid later in the window shows us what we all knew Emi was sold at a price way beyond his value.
