I completely agree with you on that.... the problem is if Drogba doesn't get the decision then plays goes on and there's no harm done... if McGovern doesn't get the decision, we come home with a point or less instead of 3.   The risk is far higher for a defender to be a lightweight....

IMO we wouldn't be debating this if Krul had been in goal. MM is already seen as small for a keeper and not good in the air, so being nudged out of the way plays into his being weak. If it was Krul I don't think anyone would be debating it, as Tim is big and strong and would never lose the ball if not fouled.

Fact of the matter is the player backs into the keeper to obstruct him, it isn't accidental, and nobody on the pitch complains which tells you everything.
