Todders goals are here!!!

Recommended Posts

First  Swallows of the Summer arrived yesterday, sending the wife into raptures. Dogged little blighters made it back again. Last year we had more successful clutches reared than any year since we moved into this farmhouse,  so hoping more than ever will return this year. Time to be vigilant with closing barn and shed doors that we don't  want to be nurseries for the next few months. No shortage of nesting spots for them in other outbuildings where a bit of guano makes little impact.

Bless the chirrupping voyagers. 🐣🐣🐣

There I was thinking there would be a compilation of goals by Todd Cantwell, how silly of me to expect that 🙃

If I cant tease my grandkids with cryptic clues as to where I've hidden the eggs, then this at least gave me a little tickle. Apologies to all, except Waveneyo.

Do you keep a record of the day they arrive each year?  The House Martens usually arrive where I live in the last week in April.

Yes, we do, we write daily rainfall, swallows arrival, first cuckoo, first Mackerel, etc etc on the calendar in the kitchen. Never seen a House Martin round these parts though. Wouldnt like to have a House Marten though.....vicious little beggers, prefer them left out in the Pine, where they belong.😉
