Balham Yellow 0 Posted January 26, 2006 If we sign the kind of players we need to sign it is likely to take more than a couple of days to tie up. Clubs aren''t going to let good, young talent leave without protracted negotiations. The only deals that get done quickly are those where the club are quite happy to see the player leave. lucky green trainers 0 Posted January 26, 2006 spot on. hammers negotiated for 2 weeks plus made multiple bids to get deano and then that deal only happened ''cos he made it plain he wanted to go. interest/speculation so far officially, secret bids unofficially? who knows? but its clear that 5 days have passed since deano and nothing concrete has emerged - 6 days only left. thrones reassurance in yesterday''s pink un that he''s ready to fill deano''s boots is so far the only news of a possible replacement! Syteanric 1 Posted January 26, 2006 worhty seems to let the transfer window pass him buy constantly.. i said when Deano left that McVeigh and thorne will be our front line for the rest of the season and it will be.... Worthy will then wonder why "my squad isnt good enough"....jas :)
Crazy Eddie 0 Posted January 26, 2006 If our top target is indeed Jerome is it not possible that the club, player and managing director currently being in three differentcountries may have slowed things a tad?
