lake district canary 4,540 Posted February 16, 2018 A lot depends on finances. If our model needs that we have to sell him, then he will likely go to the highest bidder, but if we can afford to manage without the potential huge income he could bring from a sale, then he doesn''t have to be sold if the valuation isn''t correct. And Maddison is sensible enough to realise that.
Hoola Han Solo 448 Posted February 16, 2018 How do you know he is sensible enough?
lake district canary 4,540 Posted February 16, 2018 Largely because of his actions since he''s been at Norwich, his attitude generally, the way he has embraced the community side of the club and his composure on the pitch.
Woodman 92 Posted February 16, 2018 What about his comment in the interview after the Derby game describing Norwich as ''a good platform''? That suggests to me that he sees us as a stepping stone to his future. I, for one, intend to enjoy watching him while he is here... which I don''t think will be for much longer. Hope I''m wrong. Feedthewolf 4,863 Posted February 16, 2018 The only thing that could keep him here into next season is (heaven forbid) a serious injury, or a loan back to us from a top-six club if we somehow magic our way into the PL. He doesn''t need any more Championship football to prove his quality, and I genuinely believe he has a strong chance of getting a senior England cap in this calendar year.
