YorkshirePudding 0 Posted October 31, 2015 I thought the decision to replace Jarvis, instead of Howson, for Redmond was a wrong one. Howson had another poor game and has seriously lost his passing boots. Whereas Jarvis looked dangerous Some positive performances though - Mulumbu, Jerome and Brady imo did well
A Load of Squit 6,260 Posted October 31, 2015 Wasn''t Jarvis replaced due to injury?

Jim Smith 2,610 Posted October 31, 2015 Obsession with Howson to the detriment of Wes is costing us at the moment as well. No coincidence we played so well at Everton.
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted October 31, 2015 Agreed. The popular opinion is that Jerome is a good Championship striker but won''t make it at PL level. To me that is probably so, but is open to debate. With Jonny Howson, it is not. Championship.Wes, in his best moments, has far more to offer than little Jonny ever will. Jim Smith 2,610 Posted October 31, 2015 Howson is a good player and has the odd game where he is top notch but he has too many where he goes missing. It beggars belief that in recent weeks, with Wes in the form of his life, Neil has joined the growing list of managers who see fit to leave him out of the team in the misguided notion it makes us more defensively solid. It doesn''t. It means we keep the ball worse and the defence therefore comes under more pressure.
