Looks like lafferty face don''t fit at city,left out again despite scoring,he obviously must have done something or said something wrong. Still the main strikers can''t score but doesn''t get a chance. Shame when this happens to players. Great performance today pity to give two points away but was a good result and team performance,but can''t help wondering if lafferty would have made a difference .

I doubt it''s anything more than him being lower on the pecking order and therefore needing to stand out even more to get a chance in a regular season match. When he does, he really needs to make it count.

Jerome seems snakebit when it comes to scoring, but he''s been active, has forced some big saves (including today''s accidental face save) and looks like the goals will start coming at any moment. Neither of the other 2 has done much to impress, aside from Mbokani''s debut substitution.

It''s likely that Lafferty is unable to perform the roles of Jerome, Grabban and Mbokani in quite the same way. I like Lafferty too, but he won''t be a snug fit for AN''s preferred system. It''s not a good idea to abandon a game plan because a squad player scored in the league cup. However he deserves a game and will get one eventually.
