  1. This paper though Branston is the actual local rag for most QPR fans, so the journalist is the equivalent of Chris Lakey - the type that go and sit at the press conferences with a dictaphone. So this is likely true.
  2. Don''t think we need to be planning a ground expansion just yet. I''d be gutted if we lost Fer to a team who could be our rivals next season. As for selling Hooper, what is the point? Look at the money strikers are going for..... if we sold him for £8m it would cost us the same to replace him with proven quality.Unless that was Jordan Rhodes, but he has just signed a 5 year contract.
  3. I''m not surprised you got sacked and if I were your manager I''d have sacked you too. What were you thinking? Especially as your username seems to hint at your name too. Let me guess, Gary?
  4. QPR according to a local West London paper, with Norwich saying that we don''t need to sell unless we get a silly offer.http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/norwich-reject-bid-from-qpr-for-leroy-fer-football8421Redknapp has also said that he is chasing an English striker, who QPR fans seem to think is Gary Hooper.
  5. Not giving police his details means that he didn''t reply to a letter to name the driver after being caught on speed camera, doesn''t mean he was stopped for speeding and refused to give an actual police officer his details.I just looked at Wilderness Road in Costessey.... pretty obvious which one of the houses on the street belongs to the Premier League footballer, one is bloody massive and the rest are normal houses.
  6. Oh yes that was definitely Watsons fault, and nothing to do with the shambles which played out on the rest of the pitch all season.
  7. "I suspect there might be worse to come than a few flooded seats though" It isn''t the seats which have flooded.... “Due to the torrential rain in recent days in the immediate area of Norwich City Football Club, the Barclay Stand Lower concourses and Russell Allison Lounge suffered partial flooding"
  8. Swindoncanary - clearly the flood hasn''t come from the front of the stand if the Russell Alison has flooded, it has come from the back!
  9. We all thought Van Wolfswinkel was a bargain at £8.5m, we thought we were getting a £20m striker. So lets not overhype this one. He has had one very good Championship season. He may have another, and he may not.
  10. These crazy prices for mediocre strikers do make you wonder whether we should be keeping Becchio, who has 56 goals in the Championship in two and a half seasons. Of all our strikers he is the most proven in this division.
  11. £3m was his release clause, so the fee would have been £3m whoever he went to, and whenever he went there. I wouldn''t really call matching a release clause genius.
  12. Two cancelled friendlies, a flooded stand, and three injured strikers, all in the space of just over a week. You just couldn''t make it up.
  13. If he lands himself another three year deal then his agent must be the best in the business. Got a one year extension here, then left for Wigan who gave him an extra year, that already takes him to 35. If he gets another three year deal on big wages to take him to 36 he will be laughing. Don''t blame the bloke, years of probably washing his own kits and driving a Peugot, may as well milk his 15 goal season as long as he can.
  14. Is the talk at the moment, £750k. Could be a clever move, he has lost what pace he had so working under Allardyce to play that target man role effectively would be the way forward for him - a bit of Kevin Davies, and he would be playing for a team where he can make a big contribution without scoring many goals - they score their goals from midfield, with Andy Carroll providing knock downs. If it did go through though, would show that he didn''t leave us because he had to be near Carlisle but because he just wanted to leave!
  15. Of course we can compete with Bournemouth in the transfer market, we have just stolen their top scorer and Surman wants to stay with us rather than join them.
  16. "To post messages against a person or situation before the first match has even been played is downright ludicrous" Can''t make heads nor tails of that. Firstly, what person? Nobody is talking about a person are they? As for, ''situation'', well tha means: "a set of circumstances in which one finds oneself; a state of affairs", which means that a situation is current, as of now. Why would you wait until the Wolves game to talk about what is happening now? That makes no sense. I was an avid reader of this forum last season, where lots of posters pointed out that we were heading towards relegation. Well I''m pointing out that our preparations for the season don''t appear to be going very smoothly, to the extent that they are fast becoming a shambles. I''m not sure I understand how anybody can even contemplate disagreeing with that, whether it is the fault of the club or just terrible luck.
  17. "But of course you don''t really care because this is all a trap to lure me to post on here" ^^^ annoying insecure girlfriend.
  18. Probably League One then, because he scored 22 goals in Charlton''s promotion season and then 1 in 19 in the Championship. Oh well, thought he might have been a worthy gamble, probably not.
  19. Get over yourself Buh, you sound like an annoying girlfriend.
  20. Sorry don''t really get your point about football manager. Professional managers are always talking about needing game time against good opposition. All I see is that every other club has played some pretty strong opposition, League One, League Two etc, and we have yet to step it up to that level because of the cancellations. So the change of pace hasn''t happened has it? We''ve gone from Conference National to a team so obscure that it is a struggle to find them mentioned on the internet.
  21. This man has been a revelation in the MLS, Daily Mail running with the Norwich City reject angle http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2698481/Could-teenager-Sussex-star-USA-s-World-Cup-squad-2018.html Anybody know if he is any good? What sort of level is the MLS these days, scored 14 goals in 18 in the MLS league games last season. Does that make him a probably good League Two player, or does that make him a potential star like Landon Donovan?
