  1. Thanks I thought I had seen that. My understanding although I will stand to be corrected was that the Kent variant was so dominant in the uk that the South African variant did not have the opportunity to become the dominant strain. Not sure if that applies to Europe but I do know in South Africa the South African variant was so dominant the Kent variant couldn’t get a hold. That aside was the fear not if you had Kent, you could still get the South Africa ?
  2. Unfortunately the same can’t be said about the Brexit deal we signed up to which is not going well to date for the U.K., maybe things will change. By the way you may recall the vaccine roll outs were nothing to do with Brexit.
  3. Hi VW i have heard ( but don’t have links ) that the South African variant is taking a bit of a hold in mainland Europe, have you seen that ?
  4. A bit here on the exporting / manufacture around the world of vaccine which I have been talking about by the rich nations. All very sad, India could for instance be producing 50 million doses of Pfizer a week. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-56465395
  5. Pfizer also warned the U.K. not to extend the second dose to 12 weeks
  6. Here is what is happening. Johnson’s little bits of misleading about vaccines shown again. In June Johnson said any country that did this was immoral. So were the EU telling the truth about the UK and US not exporting ? It seems possible https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-56465395
  7. You’ve been reading to many fairy tales. Let me tell you another one. Once upon a time there was a magic Pfizer tree based in number 10s back garden. There was also a factory that made 2 million AZ doses a week that when delivered to number 10 just like the bread and fishes in the bible the PM turned them into millions more by touching them. If you really believe what you have said ( I think you are on a wind up ) why would it matter if the EU don’t export any vaccine as they don’t export any.

  9. You still haven’t answered my question, EU have exported 41 million doses, please tell us how many we have exported. It is not wether I agree or disagree I just want to see if you blatantly lied when you told us the U.K. had exported more than the EU, or if indeed we have exported any. If you can tell me that I will tell you what Boris Johnson said in June as to what action a country could take that will make that country immoral. Also you told us how we invested so much in manufacturing vaccines in their own plants and the EU didn’t. Could you evidence this ? Or tell us where our magic Pfizer and Oxford trees are kept. I don’t get why The EU not exporting vaccines would effect us, if as you claim we don’t get any vaccines from The EU.
  10. This country could save an absoloute fortune if it subscribed to the pink un forum. The government is considering using so-called vaccine passports as way to enable large numbers of fans to attend sporting events this summer. Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said his department was "linking in" to a government review into Covid certification and "may pilot those for some events". He added: "It's a potential way of mitigating the risks around getting large numbers of fans back into stadiums." Amid hopes the postponed Euro 2020 semi-finals and final could be hosted at Wembley in July, Dowden said the government was conducting a "range of pilots as to how we do that safely" which included the FA Cup final at Wembley stadium on 15 May.
  11. Andrew Pollard ( head of the Oxford vaccine team ) praised them for their prompt attention at checking what they should. Just a different view.
  12. Talking of horses, a number of Irish and other European countries horses have not come to Cheltenham this year as instead of costing nothing it now costs £650 to cross the border ( each horse ) and instead of 2 pieces of simple paperwork, they now require 12 in depth pieces. Owners only decided to send their very best horses.
  13. Have to say we used AZ today and only one couple wanted to reject for Pfizer, which strangely is unusual as we normally get a lot more than that. We had the opposite in that some idiot put on Facebook that walk ins were available at a particular time, very clever what an idiot. It was like controlling a football crowd as more and more turned up only to be turned away.
  14. Although you are correct it’s America that has done that and even put in place new laws.
  15. That is totally incorrect, we only manufacture 2 million doses a week. The EU have supplied us with approx 18 million doses to date. I have not stated I agree I have asked you why if you think politicians should standby their own citizens why you don’t think the EU should.
  16. If we win Saturday and 2 of the other 3 drop points and bearing in mind they all have to play each other, we are almost promoted bar the shouting. I would have predicted the Huddersfield game as the day we got promoted but the Preston debacle is throwing a spanner in the works. wouldn’t it be nice to win the title by beating Watford on the 20/4.
  17. India’s problems come from America, clearly we are scared of challenging America. America have an estimated 100 million doses of AZ in fridges and the option to produce tens of millions a month. It is a vaccine since September they have snubbed and not been very complimentary on. Whatever anyone thinks of the EU they have now been proved correct by The Serum Institute of India in calling out America banning all exports including the things needed for manufacture. The Serum Institute have now been denied licenses to manufacture Pfizer and Moderna. I wouldn’t say our strategy didn’t work as our initial strategy in June was to persuade the world that nobody under 50 ( health workers and underlying conditions apart ) should be vaccinated until everybody in the world had reached that point. It looks like we have squeezed that in before America, China and Russia take control, so at least our most vulnerable have been vaccinated. Even if we had joined the ‘ big investment in manufacture club ‘ I am not sure we would have been any better of at this stage, however I am sure like others are now saying we would also have said ‘ there is a shortage, we may have contracts, but it’s our citizens first ‘.
  18. I don’t agree with the point I am about to make, but why do you think if politicians are answerable to their own citizens, the EU like America, China, Russia and India should not keep the vaccine they manufacture rather than giving it to other countries ?
  19. That’s the second time you have called Mad Moy a liar in a week.
  20. I will try again, Europe don’t have any vaccine, they never invested in vaccine production you and Moy told us. Did you not tell us the truth ?
  21. As you have brought it up yet again I will copy and paste my original answer to see if you can manage an answer this time. You are tying yourself in knots, I thought they don’t have any vaccine ? Guess you are not going to tell us why we should worry about the EU not exporting vaccines to us ? Will we need European workers to harvest our Pfizer jabs from the magic Pfizer tree ?
  22. Yep And all down to the US, yet governments are ignoring this and blaming everyone but. That leaves the major producers EU and India taking the decision to look after themselves, whilst China and Russia with huge capacity to manufacture both the vaccine itself and the bits needed to gain favour with whomever they choose.
  23. Well there I was praising India and they are now also insisting it’s their Country first. The Serum Institute have no reason to lie and are stating that America have now passed laws, that slow down manufacture, by not just banning vaccine exports but banning the Exports of the bits needed to manufacture the vaccines. There will therefore be a world vaccine shortage, yet the major manufacturing countries will have more vaccine than they ever thought possible. https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/serum-ceo-poonawalla-says-vaccine-nationalism-threatens-poorer-nations-101615933916578.html
  24. Indeed, at least America were honest and said no country was getting any vaccine manufactured in America, and even though it was Trump, Biden has kept to it.
  25. You are tying yourself in knots, I thought they don’t have any vaccine ? Guess you are not going to tell us why we should worry about the EU not exporting vaccines to us ? Will we need European workers to harvest our Pfizer jabs from the magic Pfizer tree ?
