  1. "Le Juge, Johnson is''nt good enough" That may be true but he doesn''t warrant criticism, he doesn''t pick himself. .
  2. It''s the complete lack of confidence and belief that is making them look poor.
  3. Probably why they were incompatible with Lambert. He probably wanted £7m to spend on Benteke.
  4. Are we blaming the players now then are we? The most culpable parties in order are as follows: 1) The boardroom 2) The management team 3) The players You get rid of number 2 and number 3 are still here. If you want number 2 gone then it has become apparent that we made need to get rid of number 1. Johnson in particular always gives 100% and can be a valuable member of our team when he plays well, criticism of a player who gives 100% every week is harsh and unwarrented.
  5. The board have defied the wishes of the majority of the fans and stubbonly gone alone with Hughton despite watching our relegation rivals either make chances or invest in the team. We did nothing this January, we changed nothing. Forget looking for the next Lambert and Culverhouse, we need to look for the next McNally, Bowkwett and Phillips. They bottled it.
  6. "I could understand the elmander", Glad you could because I couldn''t, Hooper was getting himself into goalscoring positions and Elmander doesn''t even know what a goal is.
  7. "Some posters really are mindless in blaming it all on someone who''s not on the pitch" Oh f*ck off. Hooper miss chances but got himself into goalscoring positions. Redmond was our main attacking threat. The person who was not on the pitch took those two players off for Elmander who hasn''t scored all season and Pilkington who is nowhere near his best. Pilkington for Snodgrass would have been like for like pretty much. But if Hughton takes our two most dangerous players off at 0-0 to try and save a draw and we lose the game then yes I f*cking can blame him.
  8. There might be a good player underneath. Like all of our players he has lost confidence and self belief.
  9. "Player have to take the blame as well, can''t score can''t defend, you can sack Hughton all you want, we are going down regardless our players are just not good enough" Who signed those players? Who picks those players? Who instructs those players? Who oversees the training of those players? Who motivates those players? If Hooper, Elmander and Van Wolfswinkel can''t bury chances then who is to blame? I miss Kei Kamara at the moment and that is saying something.
  10. "Elmander - Fu(k off back to Turkey you Tw@t " Yes because he definitely brought himself on didn''t he!
  11. Tried to defend the draw, failed, and now trying to undo his mistake. He will fail at that too. Hooper and Redmond off and Elmander and Pilkington on. F*ck off Hughton. I miss Kei Kamara, what a substitute he was to bring on.
  12. I said this a few weeks ago, same was true then. Only team in league not to have a substitute score a goal.
  13. "No Elmander = no goals for hooper it seems?" The answer is Hoolahan, can''t you remember his Hooper assist? Also set up two Hooper goals in pre-season. The key to Hooper goals is for Hoolahan to become our Kris Commons. Everybody can see it apart from Hughton.
  14. Not really sure what the point in this thread is, especially as Holt hasn''t scored since August and Kei Kamara has been injured for two months. But you missed one..... Dani Pacheco. Playing second tier in Spain. Scored 11 in 19 on loan second half of last season and has 6 in 10 for his new club. 17 in 29 is pretty prolific, expect him to end up in La Liga.
  15. Fine. Question: "Do you think we played for a draw on Saturday?" Answer: "No"
  16. Right so I write a big post stating that Hughton doesn''t play for a draw and your response to that Morty is to ask me: "Do you think we played for a draw on Saturday?". I think I have already answered that question don''t you Morty? When I said this? "but still don''t think Hughton ever thinks ''lets play for a draw'' no matter how negative and boring he is". Try reading my posts in future and if you want to present an argument as to why Hughton doesn''t play for a draw then present that argument to Robornio the poster who made that claim and not me.
  17. I think Hughton plays for clean sheets if anything. I don''t enjoy that either, but pretty sure he doesn''t play for a 0-0. His plan evolves around hoping we can score one on the break, a plan which invariably fails due to a lack of quality in our midfield and a lack of pace up front. But playing deep with men behind the ball isn''t "playing for a draw". I''d like to see us go out and attack the game just like you do, but still don''t think Hughton ever thinks "lets play for a draw" no matter how negative and boring he is.
  18. You never know you might reach the 3rd round of the League Cup next season. See you in the League Cup.
  19. Never said anything about playing for a draw, the question was whether you would take a draw if offered right now. I probably would. I''m not even sure how a team would "play for a draw", surely that would require collusion between both sides to agree to score a certain number of goals (e.g. a betting scandal).
  20. I''d like to think we will go there to try and win the game, avoiding defeat "at all costs" surely just means playing a very negative defensive game with all men behind the ball giving them far too much respect? I think we should go out there and try and dominate them, don''t want none of this 0-0 trying to pinch a goal with a two man counter attack rubbish.
  21. So basically we have a Derby fan coming on here to tell us that Chris Martin is doing alright in the Championship. Seeing as he played 30 games in our promotion season where we finished 2nd in that league, coming on here to tell us that Martin is alright in the Championship is a great example of STATING THE FRIGGING OBVIOUS. It is the suggestion that we in some way miss him which borders on the absurd. Our 4th choice striker scored 19 goals in a half a season in the Championship. Chris Martin has never been and will never be Premiership class, and the main reason why is obvious as soon as he is pitched against Premier League defenders..... he doesn''t have the pace. Derby got a £1m player for free. That''s a big deal for them, congrats. Releasing a £1m player isn''t really a big deal for us though is it, seeing as our revenue will be 100 times that this season. Cheerio tinpot!
  22. With the form they are in and the way that Kevin Nolan is playing I probably would. A goal or two wouldn''t go amiss though hey? Lots of players in need of a goal, in some ways I think a 3-3 could end up a better result for us than a win if it means people like Redmond, Fer, Pilkington, RVW or even Hooper (dry spell) hitting the goal trail.
  23. Sounds like somebody needs a reminder of just how huge the gap between the Championship and Premier League is. They shouldn''t mind you, not after their attempt in 2007-08 where they achieved the envious record lowest points total in Premier League history (8 points). Earnie did well for you that year after "scoring goals galore" for us. Tinpot.
